Dysrhythmia in Patients with Congenital Heart Disease and exploring the Role of Bachmann’s Bundle in Atrial Fibrillation [PDF]
This thesis focuses on development and risk factors of dysthyrhmia, in particular atrial fibrillation, in patients with congenital heart disease. Furthermore, with oud unique epicarial mapping methods we investigated conduction across Bachmann's bundle,

Ichnology of the Rhätsandstein in the Exter Formation (Triassic), Germany
Trace fossils from the Rhätsandstein of southern Germany record repeated colonization of high‐energy shallow‐marine substrates before the Triassic–Jurassic transition. The assemblage reflects environmental and preservational controls on ichnodiversity.

Genome editing technologies such as CRISPR‐Cas are reshaping debates about the future of agriculture, yet disagreement over how these crops should be regulated remains widespread. This study clarifies the range of arguments used in scientific discussions about genome‐edited crops, making underlying assumptions and value judgements more visible.

We show that complexity, but not nestedness or modularity, increase dynamical stability of mutualistic networks, mainly through a weakening in mutualistic dependencies with complexity. Abstract Mutualistic networks provide essential contributions to long‐term ecosystem functioning and food security, but Anthropocene stressors continue to alter their ...

VAT cuts as emergency policy intervention: evidence from the UK case
Abstract In July 2020, the UK government reduced the rate of value‐added tax on hospitality services from 20 per cent to 5 per cent as an emergency policy intervention. Using a novel dataset of detailed hotel room characteristics in the UK and three European comparison countries, we estimate how much of the tax cut was passed on to consumers via a ...

Do Sustainability Restatements Impair Financial Analysts’ Earnings Forecast Accuracy?
This paper examines empirically the association between sustainability restatements (SRS), that is, restatements in sustainability reports, and analyst forecast accuracy, measured by analysts’ forecast errors for current‐year earnings. We find that SRS are related to greater earnings forecast errors, especially when they are related to environmental or

Epicardial Breakthrough Waves During Sinus Rhythm
Background: Epicardial breakthrough waves (EBW) during atrial fibrillation are important elements of the arrhythmogenic substrate and result from endo-epicardial asynchrony, which also occurs to some degree during sinus rhythm ...

The effect of addback statutes on CEO compensation
Abstract Exploiting the adoption of addback statutes, which occurred at different times, as exogenous shocks to corporate taxable income, we examine the effect of tax policy changes on the compensation of chief executive officers (CEOs). We provide evidence that CEOs of firms headquartered in states affected by addback statutes experienced a decrease ...
