3D‐Printed Macroporous Resin Anode in Microbial Fuel Cell‐Based Biosensors for Efficient Biodegradable Organic Carbon Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
This study presents a 3D‐printed gyroid resin anode for microbial fuel cell biosensors. Compared with carbon felt, it enables either a broader dynamic range or higher sensitivity, depending on the operation mode. By improving real‐time monitoring of organic load, these biosensors support more efficient process control and contribute to the goal of ...

Isolation, Characterization, and Selection of Bacillus sp. from Shallot Rhizosphere that Inhibits Fusarium oxysporum Growth

open access: yesJurnal Perlindungan Tanaman Indonesia
Bacillus sp. is a Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) species that lives in the rhizosphere. This bacterium can produce antifungal compounds that suppress pathogenic fungi, such as Fusarium oxysporum.

Gallium β‐Cyclodextrin Nanoparticles Containing both Gallium Protoporphyrin and Gallium Nitrate Exhibit Antimicrobial Activity against Nontuberculous Mycobacteria in Vitro and in Vivo

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Cyclodextrin nanoparticle containing both Ga(NO3)3 and GaPP is synthesized and tested against non‐tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM). The in vivo efficacy of the nanoparticle therapy is additionally tested by treating pulmonary NTM infections in mice and observed much greater effectiveness in bacterial clearance and survival of mice.

Homeostasis of Gut Microbiota Protects against Susceptibility to Fungal Pneumonia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fungal pneumonia induces inflammation, shown by heightened IL‐6, IL‐1β, TNF‐α levels and a growth in Staphylococcus in the alveolar flora. The gut microbiota, acting through the gut‐lung axis via blood, impacts fungal pneumonia susceptibility by altering lung metabolism and inflammatory responses.

Inhibition of RNase to Attenuate Fungal‐Manipulated Rhizosphere Microbiome and Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fusarium graminearum uses its virulence effector Fg12, a fungal RNase, to manipulate the host rhizosphere microbiome and promote infection. Guanosine monophosphate (GMP) blocks Fg12's RNase activity. This reveals a key pathogen‐microbiota interaction mechanism and proposes GMP as a targeted strategy to disarm this core fungal effector, offering a ...
