Study of Back Electromotive Force in the Preparation of Al-Ca Alloy by Molten Salt Electrolysis Method

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Research, 2011
Al-Ca master alloy was prepared by molten salt electrolysis method, using a mixed molten salt system of CaCl2-CaF2 and feeding CaO as electrolysis material. The technological parameters such as back electromotive force (BEMF), cell voltage, and current were measured by testing device of molten salt electrolysis.

Analysis of back electromotive force in RCEML

open access: yes2014 17th International Symposium on Electromagnetic Launch Technology, 2014
Compared with the rail electromagnetic launchers (EMLs), there is a strong magnetic coupling between the drive coils and the projectile of coil EMLs. This makes it possible that the coil EMLs have very high efficiency. When doing research on coil EMLs, we found that there was a significant downward trend of the current wave of the launcher system by ...

Sensorless Control for Six-Phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines Based on Back-Electromotive Force Estimation

open access: yes2024 International Conference on Electrical Machines (ICEM)
This paper presents a sensorless control algorithm based on back-electromotive force estimation for a six-phase permanent magnet synchronous machine drive. The proposed solution employs a hybrid state observer that uses two different flux estimators. To find the rotor flux position, the first observer uses the fundamental harmonic of the magnetic field,

Feedforward compensation of back electromotive force for suppressing rotational motion errors in a magnetically levitated system

Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology, 2017
The magnetically levitated system, so called maglev system, has been researched and developed with the purpose of vacuum compatibility in the semiconductor industry. In the maglev system, the back electromotive force is inevitably generated when the system moves. The back electromotive force causes force/moment disturbances.

Control of a flexible beam using back electromotive force of motor

Journal of Guidance, Control, and Dynamics, 1996
An innovative method of wave-absorbing control is presented for vibration suppression of flexible space structures. The method needs no digital computation process programmed under the control law that is usually necessary in realistic systems. A torque motor is used not only as an actuator but also a sensor that detects the angular velocity of the ...

Back electromotive force enhancement for a new single-phase synchronous motor

Journal of Applied Physics, 1999
In this article, the back electromotive force (emf) of a new single-phase synchronous motor of the two-pole type useful in aquarium application is studied. Based on a two-dimensional model, the finite-element method is used to numerically analyze the magnetic field distribution inside the motors, from which the back emfs can be computed.
