Compositional Gradient–Engineered Ti–WO3 Films for Simultaneous Enhancement of Coloration Efficiency and Mechanical Robustness

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A gradient Ti‐doped WO3 electrochromic film is developed via dynamic co‐sputtering, enabling depth‐dependent band engineering and strain regulation. The gradient structure induces a built‐in electric field across the film thickness that enhances coupled ion–electron transport while improving mechanical robustness.

Diagnosis and Robust Design Optimization of SPMSM Considering Back EMF and Cogging Torque due to Static Eccentricity

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
Static eccentricity (SE) is frequently generated by manufacturing processes. As the nonuniformity of the air-gap length is caused by the SE, the torque ripple and cogging torque increase in the motor.

Sensitivity of a 5-phase brushless DC machine to the 7th harmonic of the back-electromotive force

open access: yes2004 IEEE 35th Annual Power Electronics Specialists Conference (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37551), 2004
This paper presents a vector control of a 5-phase drive composed of a 5-leg pulse width modulation (PWM) voltage source inverter (VSI) supplying a permanent-magnet brushless DC (BLDC) machine with trapezoidal waveform of the back-electromotive force (EMF).

Back‐electromotive‐force observer (BEMF observer) based symmetrical PLL for grid synchronization stability enhancement under weak grid conditions

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2022
Abstract The synchronous reference frame phase‐locked loop (SRF‐PLL) is widely utilized for grid synchronization in voltage‐source converter (VSC) system. However, it fails to eliminate the effect of high grid impedance leading to instability in weak grids.

AI‐enabled bumpless transfer control strategy for legged robot with hybrid energy storage system

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract Designing Hybrid energy storage system (HESS) for a legged robot is significant to improve the motion performance and energy efficiency of the robot. However, switching between the driving mode and regenerative braking mode in the HESS may generate a torque bump, which has brought significant challenges to the stability of the robot locomotion.
