Infrared and Visible Deep Unfolding Image Fusion Network Based on Joint Enhancement ImagePairs [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji kexue
Under unfavorable circumstances, the fused image of the infrared and visible images sometimes suffers from low brightness and insufficient details. Therefore,a novel infrared and visible deep unfolding image fusion network based on joint enhancement image ...

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Weakly supervised framework for wildlife detection and counting in challenging Arctic environments: a case study on caribou (Rangifer tarandus)

open access: yesFrontiers in Ecology and Evolution
Caribou populations across the Arctic have declined markedly in recent decades, motivating scalable, consistent, and accurate monitoring approaches to guide evidence-based conservation actions and policy decisions.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

An improved ViBe algorithm based on adaptive detection of moving targets

open access: yesJournal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation, 2020
There exists a Ghost region in the detection result of the traditional visual background extraction(ViBe) algorithm, and the foreground extraction is prone to false detection or missed detection due to environmental changes.

THz-SAR Vibrating Target Imaging via the Bayesian Method

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2017
Target vibration bears important information for target recognition, and terahertz, due to significant micro-Doppler effects, has strong advantages for remotely sensing vibrations.

Inflationary initial conditions for the cosmological gravitational wave background

open access: yesJournal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics
Abstract The initial conditions on the anisotropies of the stochastic gravitational-wave background of cosmological origin (CGWB) largely depend on the mechanism that generates the gravitational waves. Since the CGWB is expected to be non-thermal, the computation of the initial conditions could be more challenging w.r.t. the Cosmic
