Stringent Limit on Primordial Magnetic Fields from the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2018
Primordial magnetic fields (PMFs), being present before the epoch of cosmic recombination, induce small-scale baryonic density fluctuations. These inhomogeneities lead to an inhomogeneous recombination process that alters the peaks and heights of the ...

Искажение радиационного фона городской среды вследствие агрессивного влияния техносферы. 1 этап: радон и альфа-фон

open access: yesVestnik KRAUNC: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2020
Работа посвящена проверка возможности замены промышленно выпускаемых радиометров радона более экономичными детекторами альфа- и/или бета-излучения для проведения круглогодичного и периодического мониторинга радона в городской атмосфере. Выявлена значимая

Light bending in radiation background [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics, 2014
We consider the velocity shift of light in presence of radiation emitted by a black body. Within geometric optics formalism we calculate the bending angle of a light ray when there is a gradient in the energy density. We model the bending for two simplified cases.

On distortion of the background radiation spectrum by wormholes: kinematic Sunyaev-Zel’dovich effect [PDF]

open access: yesAstrophysics and Space Science, 2018
The problem of scattering of the background radiation on relic cosmological wormholes is considered. It is shown that static wormholes do not perturb the spectrum at all. The presence of peculiar velocities of wormholes results in a distortion of the CMB

Adaptive Suppression Method of LiDAR Background Noise Based on Threshold Detection

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
Background radiation in the LiDAR detection field of view is complex and variable, and the background noise generated can easily cause false alarms in the receiver, which affects the effective detection of the system.

The cosmic microwave background radiation [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Reports, 2000
We summarize the theoretical and observational status of the study of the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation. Its thermodynamic spectrum is a robust prediction of the Hot Big Bang cosmology and has been confirmed observationally. There are now 76 observations of Cosmic Microwave Background anisotropy, which we present in a table with references.

Progress in biological and medical research in the deep underground: an update

open access: yesFrontiers in Public Health, 2023
As the growing population of individuals residing or working in deep underground spaces for prolonged periods, it has become imperative to understand the influence of factors in the deep underground environment (DUGE) on living systems.

Photon–Photon Interactions and the Opacity of the Universe in Gamma Rays

open access: yesUniverse, 2021
We discuss the topic of the transparency of the Universe in gamma rays due to extragalactic background light, and its cosmological and physical implications.

Assessment of indoor and outdoor background radiation levels at school of technology, Kano State Polytechnic, Kano State-Nigeria

open access: yesJournal of Applied Sciences and Environmental Management, 2019
A Survey taken by the world health organization (WHO) and the international commission on radiation protection (ICRP) shows that residents of temperate climate spends only about 20% of their time outdoor and about 80% indoors and certain materials use ...
