Testing Isotropy of Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation
We introduce new symmetry-based methods to test for isotropy in cosmic microwave background radiation. Each angular multipole is factored into unique products of power eigenvectors, related multipoles and singular values that provide 2 new rotationally ...

On the origin of the diffuse gamma-ray background radiation [PDF]
We show that inverse Compton scattering of cosmic-microwave-background and starlight photons by cosmic-ray electrons in the interstellar and intergalactic space explains well the spectrum and intensity of the diffuse gamma-ray background radiation (GBR),

Human cytomegalovirus infection is common in normal prostate epithelium, prostate tumor tissue, and prostate cancer cell lines. CMV promotes cell survival, proliferation, and androgen receptor signaling. Anti‐CMV pharmaceutical compounds in clinical use inhibited cell expansion in prostate cancer models in vitro and in vivo, motivating investigation ...

In thyroid cancer patients, high‐dose (≥7.4 GBq) radioactive iodine therapy (RAIT) was associated with a higher prevalence of clonal hematopoiesis (variant allele frequency >2%) in individuals aged ≥50 years (OR = 2.44). In silico analyses showed that truncating PPM1D mutations conferred a selective advantage under these conditions.

Background radiation from sterile neutrino decay and reionization
Sterile neutrinos are one of the most promising Warm Dark Matter candidates. By considering their radiative- and pion-decay channels, we derive the allowed contribution of sterile neutrinos to the X-ray, optical and near-infrared cosmic backgrounds.

The Contribution of EUV from Clusters of Galaxies to the Cosmic Ionizing Background [PDF]
Recent observations with the Extreme Ultraviolet Explorer (EUVE) suggest that at least some clusters of galaxies are luminous sources of extreme ultraviolet (EUV) radiation.

Ultraviolet Background Radiation
The results are reported of observations in narrow bands centered on 1115, 1425, and 1446 A of the flux from an empty high-galactic-latitude region and from several stars. The observations had been obtained with the aid of three ultraviolet-sensitive Geiger counters which were carried on an Aerobee-150 rocket launched from the White Sands missile ...

Long range correlation in cosmic microwave background radiation
We investigate the statistical anisotropy and Gaussianity of temperature fluctuations of Cosmic Microwave Background radiation (CMB) data from {\it Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe} survey, using the multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis ...
