Bayesian statistical analysis of bacterial diversity: Dissertation

open access: yes, 2009
Bacteria play an important role in many ecological systems. The molecular characterization of bacteria using either cultivation-dependent or cultivation-independent methods reveals the large scale of bacterial diversity in natural communities, and the vastness of subpopulations within a species or genus.

Bacterial diversity detected in osteoradionecrosis

open access: yes, 2008
Direct microscopy, culture based studies and DNA-DNA hybridization have previously demonstrated an association between microorganisms and osteoradionecrosis. The purpose of our study was to use culture independent molecular techniques to detect bacteria in necrotic bone lesions of the mandible after radiotherapy.
