Rapid and Sensitive Detection of RNA Viruses through Imaging of Marker Molecules Derived from Designed Circular DNA Probes

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
This study presents a rapid and sensitive virus detection method that employs imaging of virus‐specific DNA markers. Utilizing specially designed single‐stranded circular DNA probes, this method captures RNA fragments from RNase‐digested viral genomes during the reverse transcriptase‐based reaction, resulting in double‐stranded markers that are ...

Clustering Zwitterionic Amino Acids at the Upper Rim of Cone Calix[4]arene Triggers the Selective Recognition of Gram‐Negative Bacterial Envelope

open access: yesSmall Structures, EarlyView.
By Saturation Transfer Difference Nuclear Magnetic Resonance studies, calix[4]arenes bearing zwitterionic amino acids are identified as selective ligands for Gram‐negatives over Gram‐positives or mycobacteria, suggesting them as promising ligands for the detection and targeting of this class of bacteria.

The Biomaterial and Blood Clot Complex: A Crucial Early Environment for Osteo‐Coagulo‐Immunomodulation and the Advancement of Bone Biomaterials

open access: yesSmall Structures, EarlyView.
Various properties of bone biomaterials can modulate components of the blood clot (including the fibrin network, red blood cells, platelets, and the complement system) in vivo implantation, leading to the formation of a biomaterial–blood clot complex (BBCC) significantly impacting subsequent osteoimmunomodulation.
