An integral functional axis through which GPN and functional metabolites of Alistipes senegalensis can hydrolyze tryptophan into indoles. Furthermore, the Alistipes senegalensis‐indole‐AhR pathway is found to be associated with increased expression of tight junction‐associated proteins and activation of gut stem cells.

Bacteroides fragilis‐derived outer membrane vesicles deliver miR‐5119 and alleviate colitis by targeting PD‐L1 to inhibit GSDMD‐mediated neutrophil extracellular trap formation. Abstract Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) results from a breakdown in the symbiotic relationship between the intestinal commensal microflora and the mucosal immune system.

KRAS mutations dynamically remodel the tumor microenvironment (TME), fostering immunosuppression, metabolic symbiosis, and stromal plasticity. This review dissects how oncogenic KRAS variants sculpt TME networks and explores actionable vulnerabilities. Emerging strategies combining KRAS inhibitors and TME‐editing approaches offer potential to dismantle

Diagnosis of Bacteroides fragilis infection with counter-immunoelectrophoresis. [PDF]
In a study of 188 patients and 109 controls, the detection of antibody by counterimmunoelectrophoresis was used as a diagnostic aid in human infections with Bacteroides fragilis. It was found that positive results indicated current infection and negative results were not conclusive.

Porphyromonas gingivalis periodontal infection and its putative links with Alzheimer’s disease [PDF]
Periodontal disease (PD) and Alzheimer’s disease (AD) are inflammatory conditions affecting the global adult population. In the pathogenesis of PD, subgingival complex bacterial biofilm induces inflammation that leads to connective tissue degradation and

A Novel nor@DHB Matrix for Direct Microbial Analysis in Lung Cancer Tissues
Integrated matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry workflow quantifies intratumoral microbes in lung cancer through lipopolysaccharide/lipid A extraction from biopsies. The novel ionic matrix called norharmane conjugated to 2,5‐dihydroxybenzoic acid enhances lipid A ionization, enabling direct detection of bacterial genera ...
