Badenian discoasters from the section in Lenart (Northeast Slovenia, Central Paratethys)

open access: yesGeologija, 2005
In Slovenske gorice, south of Lenart, a 20 m profile of Middle Miocene strata has been exposed. During previous research numerous discoasters have been found among other coccoliths. In Slovenia Miocene discoasters have only been found in Badenian sedimentsin Slovenske gorice and they are particularly useful for paleoecological reconstructions ...

Lithology of Tertiary beds in Kozjansko, Eastern Slovenia

open access: yesGeologija, 2002
Oligocene and Miocene beds in Kozjansko, SW part of the Parathetys region, were developed in the time span ranging from Kiscellian to Pannonian, with two emersion phases – the first in Ottnangian, Karpatian and partially Badenian, and the second in ...

Bádeni foraminiferák kvantitatív paleökológiai vizsgálata és stabil izotópos (d18O, d13C) elemzése: Paratethys paleóceanológia, paleoklíma = The quantitative paleoecological analysis of Badenian foraminifera and its stable isotope composition (d18O, d13C): paleooceanology of the Paratethys, paleoclimate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
A kutatás célja a középső miocén Paratethys paleoóceanológiájának jobb megismerése volt a klímakutatásban használt proxik (angol proxy) segítségével. A levont következtetések nem csupán a foraminiferák kvantitatív vizsgálatára alapultak, hanem független ...

Remarks on age of the Middle Miocene deposits in the Szydłów area (southern margin of the Holy Cross Mountains [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The Middle Miocene sediments outcropping between Szydłów and Brzeziny are represented by the Pińczów Beds and the Chmielnik Beds. The Pińczów Beds are developed as the Heterostegina sands with intercalations of red algal limestones.

Middle Miocene Tonnoidea and Ficoidea (Caenogastropoda) assemblages from Letkés (Hungary) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Taxonomic composition of highly diverse early Badenian (early Langhian) Tonnoidea and Ficoidea assemblages from Letkés (Börzsöny Mts, Hungary) is given. Four Ficusspecies and 23 tonnoid species are described, including Semicassis szilviae n.

Middle Miocene (Late Badenian) microvertebrates from Hidas, SW Hungary

open access: yesGeologia Croatica
Up to the present, no terrestrial vertebrate fauna has been published from the pre-Pannonian Miocene of SW Hungary. In 2022 a microvertebrate assemblage was unearthed from a lime mud bed of the Middle Miocene Hidas Formation, in an abandoned coal mining field close to Hidas in the Mecsek Mts. The herpetofauna and the rodent material are described here.

Middle Miocene sediments on the northern part of Gorjanci between Čatež and Kostanjevica (SE Slovenia)

open access: yesGeologija, 2002
The oldest Neogene marine sedimentary rocks on the northern slopes of Gorjanci are ascribed to Upper Badenian. On the basis of the lithologic characteristics five different lithotypes were recognized and they can be combined into one lithostratigraphic ...

Upper Badenian diatom paleoecology of the western part of Central Paratethys

open access: yesGeologija, 2003
In the western part of Central Paratethys, on the territory of Slovenia, the Upper Badenian diatoms occur only in the Kr{ko basin. The diatom paleoecology of the Upper Badenian beds suggests their deposition in the marine littoral, in warm to moderatelywarm water of depth less than 100 meters and of salinity above 30 ‰.The frequency of resting spores ...
