We present a scheme for the generation of a high polarization positron beam with continous wave (CW) bunch structure for the Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility (CEBAF) at Jefferson Laboratory (JLab). The positrons are created in a high average power conversion target and collected by a CW capture linac and DC solenoid.

High accuracy theoretical investigations of CaF, SrF, and BaF and implications for laser-cooling [PDF]
The NL-eEDM collaboration is building an experimental setup to search for the permanent electric dipole moment of the electron in a slow beam of cold barium fluoride molecules [Eur. Phys. J. D, 72, 197 (2018)]. Knowledge of molecular properties of BaF is

An approximate point-based alternative for the estimation of variance under big BAF sampling
Background A new variance estimator is derived and tested for big BAF (Basal Area Factor) sampling which is a forest inventory system that utilizes Bitterlich sampling (point sampling) with two BAF sizes, a small BAF for tree counts and a larger BAF on ...

Metal Accumulation by Jatropha curcas L. Adult Plants Grown on Heavy Metal-Contaminated Soil [PDF]
Jatropha curcas has the ability to phytoextract high amounts of heavy metals during its first months just after seeding. Notwithstanding, there is scarce information about metal uptake by adult J. curcas plants. To shed light on this issue, 4-year-old J.
