Bahadur efficiency and probabilities of large deviations
Statistica Neerlandica, 1977The relative performance of two statistical tests of a hypothesis for large sample sizes is often investigated by means of asymptotic relative efficiencies in the sense of Pitman or Bahadur. Pitman efficiencies are directed at local alternatives, Bahadur efficiencies at fixed (non‐local) alternatives.

The Bahadur Efficiency of Tests of Some Joint Hypotheses
Journal of the American Statistical Association, 1988Abstract This article examines the relative efficiency of finite induced and Wald-like (or “infinite induced”) tests of some commonly encountered joint hypotheses. One two-sided testing problem and two types of two-sided testing problems concerning two parameters and normally distributed estimates are considered. The exact slopes of six test statistics

Bahadur Efficiency of Sensitivity Analyses in Observational Studies
Journal of the American Statistical Association, 2015An observational study draws inferences about treatment effects when treatments are not randomly assigned, as they would be in a randomized experiment. The naive analysis of an observational study assumes that adjustments for measured covariates suffice to remove bias from nonrandom treatment assignment. A sensitivity analysis in an observational study

Large Deviations and Bahadur Efficiency of Some Rank Tests of Independence
1987Large deviations for a class of rank tests of bivariate independence against positive quadrant dependence are derived. The test statistics are closely related to a function-valued measure of dependence (so-called monotonic dependence function). Some efficiency comparisons of new tests to Spearman’s rho are given under bivariate dependence models ...

Bahadur effectiveness of Watson-Darling goodness-of-fit tests
Journal of Soviet Mathematics, 1988The rough asymptotic behavior of the probability of large deviations is found for Watson-Darling goodness-of-fit tests, which are “centered” versions of Kolomogorov-Smirnov statistics. Their Bahadur effectiveness is calculated and conditions for local asymptotic optimality for the alternative of translation are studied.
