Abstract Switchgrass (Panicum virgatum L.) improvement requires selection methods that remain effective across environments. Biomass yield is strongly influenced by genotype‐by‐environment (G × E) interaction. We evaluated genomic prediction models for biomass yield, spring emergence (SE), and flowering time (FT) in half‐sibs at three southeastern US ...

The Effects of Suspended Sediments, Dye, and Their Variation on Fish Behavior
Human activities are affecting the visual environments of freshwater ecosystems by introducing visual pollutants such as artificial dyes and elevated suspended sediment levels. Our research shows that dyes and suspended sediments can have contrasting effects of fish behavior, with dye increasing and sediments decreasing movement.

We documented 245 tiger attacks on humans (141 fatalities) during 2010–2024 in Nepal. Most of the attacks (> 90%) occurred inside forest areas. Men were attacked more frequently (65.3%) but fatality was higher among women (> 70%). The majority of the victims (93%) had education of secondary level or below.

Ni‐doped Ba2TiO3 nanophotocatalyst is incorporated into paint and cement composites to create light‐activated construction materials. Under solar irradiation, the material degrades nitrogen oxides and organic dyes into harmless products, imparting self‐cleaning behavior while simultaneously enhancing mechanical strength, offering a sustainable approach

Exact Bahadur Efficiencies for Tests of the Multivariate Linear Hypothesis
The notion of Bahadur efficiency is used to compare multivariate linear hypothesis tests based on six criteria: (1) Roy's largest root, (2) the likelihood ratio test, (3) the Lawley-Hotelling trace, (4) Pillai's trace, (5) Wilks' $U$, and (6) Olson's statistic. Bahadur exact slope is computed for each statistic as a function of noncentrality parameters

Null Distribution and Bahadur Efficiency of the Hodges Bivariate Sign Test
This note presents a simplified expression for the exact null distribution of the Hodges bivariate sign test. The form is suitable for computing both for small and large sample size and gives the limiting distribution easily. A small table is given for the limiting distribution.

Exsolution, Evolution, and Hysteresis of CO2 Nanobubbles in Water‐Saturated Sandstone
Abstract Understanding CO2 nanobubble formation in water‐saturated sandstone is critical for understanding fluid behavior in CO2 storage systems. Here, CO2 exsolution from an aqueous phase in a sandstone was investigated using small‐angle neutron scattering at 50°C during cyclic depressurization from 12 to 0.7 MPa.

ABSTRACT Four benzothiophenes, thianaphthene (BT‐1), 3‐bromothianaphthene (BT‐2), benzo[b]thiophene‐2‐carboxaldehyde (BT‐3), and benzo[b]thiophene‐2‐carbonitrile (BT‐4), were tested as mild steel corrosion inhibitors in 1‐M HCl. The compounds have the similar benzothiophene core but differ in the substituents bound to the ring.

Asymptotic properties of a goodness-of-fit test based on maximum correlations [PDF]
We study the efficiency properties of the goodness-of-fit test based on the Qn statistic introduced in Fortiana and Grané (2003) using the concepts of Bahadur asymptotic relative efficiency and Bahadur asymptotic optimality.
