Some new transformations for Bailey pairs and WP-Bailey pairs [PDF]

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2010
Abstract We derive several new transformations relating WP-Bailey pairs. We also consider the corresponding transformations relating standard Bailey pairs, and as a consequence, derive some quite general expansions for products of theta functions which can also be expressed as certain types of Lambert series.

Bailey pairs for the q-hypergeometric integral pentagon identity

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2023
In this work, we construct new Bailey pairs for the integral pentagon identity in terms of q-hypergeometric functions. The pentagon identity considered here represents the equality of the partition functions of certain three-dimensional supersymmetric ...

On Bailey pairs for N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 supersymmetric gauge theories on S b 3 / ℤ r $$ {S}_b^3/{\mathbb{Z}}_r $$

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We study Bailey pairs construction for hyperbolic hypergeometric integral identities acquired via the duality of lens partitions functions for the three-dimensional N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 supersymmetric gauge theories on S b 3 / ℤ r $$ {S}_b^3/{\mathbb ...

Low Viral Diversity Limits the Effectiveness of Sequence-Based Transmission Inference for SARS-CoV-2

open access: yesmSphere, 2023
Tracking the spread of infection amongst individuals within and between communities has been a major challenge during viral outbreaks. With the unprecedented scale of viral sequence data collection during the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus

Phthalate Exposure, PPARα Variants, and Neurocognitive Development of Children at Two Years

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2022
Background: The PPARα gene may be crucial to the neurotoxic effect of phthalates. However, epidemiological studies considering the neurodevelopmental influence of phthalates interacting with genetic susceptibility are limited.

Some new transformation formulas deriving from Bailey pairs and WP-Bailey pairs

open access: yesFilomat, 2021
The purpose of this paper is to derive a new Bailey pair and three new WP-Bailey pairs from four summation formulas of the multibasic hypergeometric series. As applications, we will use them to obtain many new transformation formulas for basic and multibasic hypergeometric series.

N = 2 supersymmetry and Bailey pairs [PDF]

open access: yesPhysica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1996
We demonstrate that the Bailey pair formulation of Rogers-Ramanujan identities unifies the calculations of the characters of $N=1$ and $N=2$ supersymmetric conformal field theories with the counterpart theory with no supersymmetry. We illustrate this construction for the $M(3,4)$ (Ising) model where the Bailey pairs have been given by Slater.

A note on Bailey and WP-Bailey Pairs

open access: yesApplied Mathematics and Nonlinear Sciences, 2020
Abstract In this paper, we have established certain theorems involving Bailey pairs and WP-Bailey pairs. Further, making use of some known WP-Bailey pairs and theorems for constructing new WP-Bailey pairs, we have also established transformation formulas for q-hypergeometric series.

Lifting Bailey pairs to WP-Bailey pairs

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 2009
A pair of sequences $( _{n}(a,k,q), _{n}(a,k,q))$ such that $ _0(a,k,q)=1$ and \[ _{n}(a,k,q) = \sum_{j=0}^{n} \frac{(k/a; q)_{n-j}(k; q)_{n+j}}{(q;q)_{n-j}(aq;q)_{n+j}} _{j}(a,k,q) \] is termed a \emph{WP-Bailey Pair}. Upon setting $k=0$ in such a pair we obtain a \emph{Bailey pair}.
