Certain applications of WP-Bailey pairs

Asian-European Journal of Mathematics, 2019
In the present paper, certain new transformation formulae for basic hypergeometric series have been developed with the help of new WP-Bailey pair generated from old WP-Bailey pair.

Bailey pairs and indefinite quadratic forms, II. False indefinite theta functions

Research in Number Theory, 2022
We construct families of Bailey pairs \((\alpha_n,\beta_n)\) where the exponent of \(q\) in \(\alpha_n\) is an indefinite quadratic form, but where the usual \((-1)^j\) is replaced by a sign function. This leads to identities involving ``false'' indefinite binary theta series.

Truncated sums for Hecke-Rogers type identities and Andrews-Hickerson's Bailey pair

Advances in Applied Mathematics, 2022
Following the work of \textit{G. E. Andrews} and \textit{M. Merca} [J. Comb. Theory, Ser. A 119, No. 8, 1639--1643 (2012; Zbl 1246.05014)] on the truncated version of Euler's pentagonal number theorem, several authors have studied truncated sums of \(q\)-series identities.

Ramanujan-type partial theta identities and conjugate Bailey pairs

The Ramanujan Journal, 2012
In his lost notebook, Ramanujan recorded a number of partial theta identities such as those appearing in [\textit{G. E. Andrews} and \textit{B. C. Berndt}, Ramanujan's lost notebook. Part II. New York, NY: Springer (2009; Zbl 1180.11001), Entry 6.6.1]; among them, we have \[ \sum_{n \geq 0} \dfrac{(q^{n+1})_{n} q^{n}} {(-a)_{n+1}(-q/a)_{n}} = \sum_{n ...

Evaluation of selenium species in selenium-enriched pakchoi (Brassica chinensis Jusl var parachinensis (Bailey) Tsen & Lee) using mixed ion-pair reversed phase HPLC–ICP-MS

Food Chemistry, 2014
HPLC-ICP-MS based on ion-paired reversed phase chromatography for the selenium speciation using the mixture of 1-butanesulfonic acid (BA) and trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) as the mixed ion-pairing reagents was developed and applied to selenium-enriched pakchoi (Brassica chinensis Jusl var parachinensis (Bailey) Tsen & Lee).
