A Novel Balanced-to-Unbalanced Diplexer Based on Four-Port Balanced-to-Balanced Bandpass Filter

2008 38th European Microwave Conference, 2008
In this work, a novel balanced-to-unbalanced (balun) diplexer is presented. By properly converting symmetric four-port balanced-to-balanced bandpass filter to a three-port device, a balun bandpass filter with high selectivity and extended stopband can be realized. Based on such a well-designed balun bandpass filter, a balun diplexer can be accomplished

High-Selectivity Tunable Balanced Bandpass Filter With Constant Absolute Bandwidth

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2017
This brief presents a new and effective approach for designing a high-selectivity tunable balanced bandpass filter (BPF) with constant absolute bandwidth (ABW). The filter is composed of two open-loop resonators with a pair of symmetrically loaded varactor diodes to obtain tunable responses.

Wideband Balanced-to-Unbalanced Bandpass Filters Synthetically Designed With Chebyshev Filtering Response

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2018
In this paper, two wideband balanced-to-unbalanced (balun) bandpass filters (BPFs) are synthetically designed with three- and four-pole filtering responses, respectively. Based on the simplified even- and odd-mode equivalent circuits of the proposed three-pole balun BPF, the exact impedance value of the cascaded microstrip sections connected with two ...

Self-Packaged Balanced Bandpass Filters With Impedance Transformation Characteristic

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2019
In this article, the co-design of novel self-packaged balanced bandpass filters (BPFs) integrated with the functionality of impedance transformation is presented for the first time. The proposed design is based on a modified branch-line structure, which is composed of two different branch lines and two identical coupled-line sections.

Balanced Dual-band SIW Bandpass Filter With Enhanced Selectivity

2020 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Workshop Series on Advanced Materials and Processes for RF and THz Applications (IMWS-AMP), 2020
The contribution of this work is to propose a novel substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) dual-band balanced bandpass filter (BPF) with enhanced selectivity. In order to achieve this aim, both source-to-load and cross-couplings are employed by implementing four resonant nodes in two cavities, for the purpose of generating one pair of additional ...

Balanced Nonreciprocal Bandpass Filter With Common‐Mode Reflectionless Characteristics

International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications
Abstract In this paper, a common‐mode (CM) reflectionless balanced nonreciprocal bandpass filter (BPF) based on the time‐modulated resonator is presented. In order to reduce the interference caused by reflected CM noise on the neighboring circuit and the impact of radiation emission interference caused by CM noise on system stability,

On-chip single-to-balanced bandpass filters with wide upper stopband

2011 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium, 2011
In this work, on-chip single-to-balanced bandpass filters with wide upper stopband are proposed. The proposed filter integrate the functions of bandpass filter and balun using a simple multicoupled line structure along with loaded capacitors. The use of inductor is avoided such that they can achieve very compact size when implemented on chip.

A Balanced Bandpass Filter with Common-Mode Suppression for GPS Receiver

2018 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2018
A balanced bandpass filter (BPF) with superior common-mode (CM) suppression is proposed in this paper. The proposed BPF is composed of a pair of dual-mode stepped-impedance resonators (SIRs) and the balanced stepped-impedance microstrip-to-slotline transition structure. Good differential-mode (DM) transmission and CM suppression can be achieved.

Design of balanced dual-band bandpass filter with controllable bandwidths

2016 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference (APMC), 2016
A dual-band balanced bandpass filter (BPF) is proposed using stub-loaded resonators. Based on the theoretical analysis, it is found that the electrical performances of the differential-mode (DM), such as center frequencies and bandwidths can be controlled independently. The center frequency ratios of the two DM passbands can range from 1 to 2.6.
