Compact Dual-Channel Balanced Filter and Balun Filter Based on Quad-Mode Dielectric Resonator
© 1963-2012 IEEE. In this paper, we propose a method for designing a dual-channel balanced filter and a dual-channel balun filter based on the quad-mode dielectric resonator (DR) for the first time.

This paper presents a new technique called motion balance filtering, which corrects an unbalanced motion to a balanced one while preserving the original motion characteristics as much as possible. Differently from previous approaches that deal only with the balance of static posture, we solve the problem of balancing a dynamic motion.

Balanced multiwavelets with short filters
IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2004In a recent work, Selesnick constructed two GHM-like scaling function vectors of dimension two that allow balanced multiwavelet decomposition. In this letter, we construct such multiwavelets and give the corresponding decomposition/reconstruction filters. Symmetry and/or antisymmetry are achieved and filterbank shifts are investigated.

Load balancing of parallelized information filters
IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, 2002We investigate the data-parallel implementation of a set of "information filters" used to rule out uninteresting data from a database or data stream. We develop an analytic model for the costs and advantages of load rebalancing for the parallel filtering processes, as well as a quick heuristic for its desirability. Our model uses binomial models of the

This Letter proposes a balanced dual‐mode substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) filter for the first time. Based on dual‐mode square SIW cavities, perturbation vias, and balanced ports, the quasi‐elliptic differential mode response with improved selectivity as well as high‐performance common mode suppression can be obtained conveniently.

Balanced hybrid SIW–CPW bandpass filter [PDF]
This Letter proposes a balanced hybrid substrate‐integrated waveguide (SIW)–coplanar waveguide (CPW) bandpass filter, which combines a hybrid SIW–CPW filter and a balanced structure for the first time. High performance common mode suppression can be achieved with high quality factor, compact size, and quasi‐elliptic differential mode response.

Balanced and Closed-generated Filters In Frames
Quaestiones Mathematicae, 2003We introduce the notions of balanced filters and closed-generated filters in frames and use them to give a new characterisation of normality for frames, and hence, due to normality being a conservative property, a new characterisation of normality for topological spaces.
