Load balancing in 5G heterogeneous networks based on automatic weight function
Load balancing is a major challenge in heterogeneous networks (HetNets) consisting of 5G and 6G ultra-dense small cells with long-term evaluation advanced (LTE-A) networks.

ON DUAL BICOMPLEX BALANCING AND LUCAS-BALANCING NUMBERS
In this paper, dual bicomplex Balancing and Lucas-Balancing numbers are defined, and some identities analogous to the classic properties of the Fibonacci and Lucas sequences are produced. We give the relationship between these numbers and Pell and Pell-Lucas numbers.

A positive integer \(x\) is called a \((k,\ell)\)--balancing number for \(y\) (where \(x\leq y-2\)) if \[ 1^k+2^k+\cdots + (x-1)^k = (x+1)^\ell + \cdots+(y-1)^\ell , \] for fixed positive integers \(k\) and \(\ell\). In this paper, the authors prove some effective and ineffective finiteness statements for balancing numbers, using certain Baker-type ...

Application of line balancing heuristics for achieving an effective layout: a case study. [PDF]
This project is a case study conducted in a manufacturing company aiming at improving its productivity using line balancing techniques. Waste reduction, especially the time waste, is an important factor to shrink the manufacturing cost.

Improved Analysis of Deterministic Load-Balancing Schemes
We consider the problem of deterministic load balancing of tokens in the discrete model. A set of $n$ processors is connected into a $d$-regular undirected network.

A comparison of some dynamic load-balancing algorithms for a parallel adaptive flow solver [PDF]
In this paper we contrast the performance of a number of different parallel dynamic load-balancing algorithms when used in conjunction with a particular parallel, adaptive, time-dependent, 3D flow solver.

A new approach to nonlinear constrained Tikhonov regularization [PDF]
We present a novel approach to nonlinear constrained Tikhonov regularization from the viewpoint of optimization theory. A second-order sufficient optimality condition is suggested as a nonlinearity condition to handle the nonlinearity of the forward ...
