Application of line balancing heuristics for achieving an effective layout: a case study. [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Research in Industrial Engineering, 2020
This project is a case study conducted in a manufacturing company aiming at improving its productivity using line balancing techniques. Waste reduction, especially the time waste, is an important factor to shrink the manufacturing cost.

ON DUAL BICOMPLEX BALANCING AND LUCAS-BALANCING NUMBERS

open access: yesJournal of Science and Arts, 2023
In this paper, dual bicomplex Balancing and Lucas-Balancing numbers are defined, and some identities analogous to the classic properties of the Fibonacci and Lucas sequences are produced. We give the relationship between these numbers and Pell and Pell-Lucas numbers.

A Generalized Phase-Shift PWM Extension for Improved Natural and Active Balancing of Flying Capacitor Multilevel Inverters

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Power Electronics, 2022
The emergence of wide bandgap power devices has brought the attention back to the flying capacitor (FC) multilevel inverters with a large number of stages, in an effort to increase the power density by minimizing the passive components.

The balancing number and list balancing number of some graph classes

open access: yes, 2020
Given a graph $G$, a 2-coloring of the edges of $K_n$ is said to contain a balanced copy of $G$ if we can find a copy of $G$ such that half of its edges is in each color class. If there exists an integer $k$ such that, for $n$ sufficiently large, every 2-coloring of $K_n$ with more than $k$ edges in each color contains a balanced copy of $G$, then we ...

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

H-atom and O-atom methods: from balancing redox reactions to determining the number of transferred electrons

open access: yesChemistry Teacher International, 2022
Defining and balancing redox reaction requires both chemical knowledge and mathematical skills. The prevalent approach is to use the concept of oxidation number to determine the number of transferred electrons.

Claudin‐6 Protein Expression in Atypical Teratoid/Rhabdoid Tumors Is Strongly Enriched in the Molecular Subgroup AT/RT‐TYR

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Claudin‐6 has emerged as a promising immunotherapeutic target, yet protein‐level data in atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumors (AT/RTs) have been inconsistent. We analyzed 36 well‐characterized AT/RT samples and found membranous claudin‐6 protein expression in 58% of cases, with striking enrichment in the molecular subgroup AT/RT‐TYR (100%) and ...
