Phytochemicals and biological studies of plants from the genus
This review focus on the phytochemical progress and biological studies of plants from the genus Balanophora (Balanophoraceae) over the past few decades, in which most plants growth in tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and Oceania, and nearly 20 ...

Systematics of Balanophora subgenus Balania (Balanophoraceae) [PDF]
(Balanophora japonica)

Embryology in helosis cayennensis (Balanophoraceae) : structure of female flowers, fruit, endosperm and embryo [PDF]
Helosis cayennensis (Balanophoraceae s.str.) is a holoparasite characterised by aberrant vegetative bodies and tiny, reduced unisexual flowers. Here, we analysed the development of female flowers to elucidate their morpho-anatomy and the historical ...

Genetic code change in at-rich plastid genomes of two holoperasitic plants (balanophoraceae) [PDF]
The family Balanophoraceae (order Santalales) encompasses 14 genera of obligate root holoparasites (i.e. completely nonphotosynthetic and host-dependent plants). As in other nonphotosynthetic angiosperms, plastid genomes (ptDNA) in Balanophora spp.
