Heterogeneity of iridoid biosynthesis in catmints: Molecular background in a phylogenetic context
Evolutionary gains and losses of key biosynthetic genes likely resulting from multiple independent evolutionary events explain why certain Nepeta (catnip) species produce both the active, cat‐attracting nepetalactones and sugar‐bound iridoids, while others make only the sugar‐bound forms, and some have lost iridoid production entirely.

The rice transcription factor genes NAC20 and NAC26 regulate grain filling and show allele‐specific maternal expression due to transposable element insertions and paternal hypermethylation in their 5' upstream regions. Geographical analyses showed that japonica varieties that originated at high latitudes carried these transposable elements.

Ethnic Conflicts, Civil War, and Economic Growth: Region‐Level Evidence From Former Yugoslavia
ABSTRACT This paper studies the long‐term effects of the Yugoslav civil war (1987–1995) on subnational economic growth across 78 regions in five former Yugoslav republics from 1950 to 2015. We construct counterfactual growth trajectories using a robust region‐level donor pool from 32 conflict‐free countries.
