One‐Step Preparation of Lanthanide‐Doped Polyurea Multicolor Microspheres for Versatile Fluorescent Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lanthanide‐doped polyurea microspheres are prepared via a facile one‐step precipitation polymerization. They exhibit strong hydrogen‐bonding and coordination interactions with excellent properties, including multicolor emission, high quantum yield (75.3%), remarkable stability, redispersibility, and biocompatibility.

Oil Distribution around Ball–Raceway Local Contact Region in Under-Race Lubrication of Ball Bearing

open access: yesDynamics
The distribution of oil and gas phases around ball–raceway local regions is an important basis and foundation for determining whether a bearing is sufficiently lubricated.

Noise of Ball Bearing : 2nd Report, Case of Fitted Ball Bearing

open access: yesBulletin of JSME, 1962
Noise of ball bearing can be divided into two cases ; one is the case of a simple ball bearing, the other is the case of a fitted one. The noise of the latter case has not been researched systematically. The author measured the noise of three kinds of the fitted ball bearings, analyzed the peak frequency in the frequency spectrums, and obtained the ...

Bridged h‐BN Nanosheets Coatings: Simultaneous Shielding Atomic‐Oxygen Irradiation and Achieving Superior Friction Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT To confront extreme space environments, a combination of inorganic and organic coatings can provide a pathway for offering highly durable radiation resistance and anti‐friction simultaneously. Herein, a strong interfacial 3D hydrogen‐bonding network is designed to create robust hexagonal boron nitride (h‐BN) based polymer coatings with ...

Co‐simulations of induction machines coupled with a radial ball bearing for mechanical defects analysis

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications
In this paper, two co‐simulations are introduced to study the behaviour of a 2‐D finite‐element model and a magnetic equivalent model of an induction machine, both coupled with a mechanical radial ball bearing model.

A Study on the Vibration Characteristics of Cage-Less Ball Bearings Following Local Damage to the Grooves

open access: yesLubricants
When the magnetic field of a magnetic levitation bearing is lost, the cage-less ball bearing acts as a backup bearing to support the falling spindle. To ensure uniform distribution of the rolling elements in the cage-less ball bearing, researchers have ...
