Acoustic Vibration Signal Processing and Analysis in Ball Mill

2006 6th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation, 2006
Acoustic vibration signal analysis and coal bunker level recognition system in ball mill is used as a tool of acoustic vibration signal analysis system to extract characteristic variable to control the coal bunker level. With this system, the ball mill can operate in a safely condition, and work efficiency can be improved.

Sintering process in ball-milled K2Bi8Se13 nano-composites

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2012
K2Bi8Se13 material has many attractive features for thermoelectric applications. Recently, K2Bi8Se13 based nanocomposite materials, consisting of nano-crystalline, micro-crystalline and amorphous phases, have been fabricated based on powder technology techniques. The Seebeck coefficient has been enhanced and the thermal conductivity has been decreased,

On characterization of conveying processes in ball mills by rheological parameters

Powder Technology, 1989
Abstract It is suggested that the grinding stock in a ball mill is loosened in such a manner that it behaves as a fluidized bulk material. The rheological behaviour of this material is investigated by means of a special rotational-type viscosimeter. Comparison of conveying parameters of a bulk grinding stock and a suspension rheologically adapted to ...

Magnetic properties of Fe1−xZrx in ball milling process

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1995
Abstract Structural features and magnetic properties of Fe 1− x Zr x upon ball milling were investigated by X-ray diffraction, magnetization measurements and Mossbauer spectroscopy. The X-ray diffraction patterns of the milled Fe 0.9 Zr 0.1 did not clearly show a sign of existence of an amorphous phase.

Optimization of processing parameters of a ball mill refiner for chocolate

Journal of Food Engineering, 2007
The aim of this work was to optimize the ball mill based refining process of chocolate, in terms of refining time and energy consumption. Experiments were planned following a central composite design (CCD), considering refining time (rt) and agitator shaft speed (as) as factors.

Hybrid Intelligent Modeling Approach for the Ball Mill Grinding Process

2007
Modeling for the ball mill grinding process is still an imperative but difficult problem for the optimal control of mineral processing industry. Due to the integrated complexities of grinding process (strong nonlinearity, unknown mechanisms, multivariable, time varying parameters, etc.), a hybrid intelligent dynamic model is presented in this paper ...

The prediction of cutting forces in the ball-end milling process

Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 1995
Abstract This paper presents the development and verification of a predictive model for the force system in ball-end milling. The force model is essentially derived from metal cutting theory and for the geometric relations of the ball-end milling process. A concise method for characterizing the complex geometry of a ball-end mill is first determined.

A study on the effect of process parameters in stirred ball mill

Advanced Powder Technology, 2011
Abstract An experimental study on the fine grinding of calcite powder ( d 50  = 62.16 μm) using a 0.75  l laboratory stirred ball mill has been carried out. The effects of various operating factors, such as grinding time (min), stirrer speed (rpm), slurry density (wt.%) and ball filling ratio on fine grinding was studied under batch wet conditions ...

Cutting process of glass with inclined ball end mill

Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 2008
Abstract Cutting processes with ball end mills are discussed for machining microgrooves on glasses. A surface is finished in undeformed chip thickness less than 1 μm at the beginning and at the end of the cut during the cutter rotation. The milling process is applied to glass machining.
