Magnetic properties of Fe1−xZrx in ball milling process
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1995Abstract Structural features and magnetic properties of Fe 1− x Zr x upon ball milling were investigated by X-ray diffraction, magnetization measurements and Mossbauer spectroscopy. The X-ray diffraction patterns of the milled Fe 0.9 Zr 0.1 did not clearly show a sign of existence of an amorphous phase.

The prediction of cutting forces in the ball-end milling process
Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 1995Abstract This paper presents the development and verification of a predictive model for the force system in ball-end milling. The force model is essentially derived from metal cutting theory and for the geometric relations of the ball-end milling process. A concise method for characterizing the complex geometry of a ball-end mill is first determined.

Cutting process of glass with inclined ball end mill
Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 2008Abstract Cutting processes with ball end mills are discussed for machining microgrooves on glasses. A surface is finished in undeformed chip thickness less than 1 μm at the beginning and at the end of the cut during the cutter rotation. The milling process is applied to glass machining.

Transformation of carbon nanotubes to nanoparticles by ball milling process
Carbon, 1999Abstract Carbon nanotubes were treated by high-energy ball milling processing for different milling times, and the samples were observed by HRTEM. The broken nanotubes and lots of carbon onion-like particles were obtained in the sample milled for 15 min. When the milling time was up to 60 min, carbon nanotubes turned into amorphous carbon.
