Modeling Of Ballistic Missile Dynamics
Aerodynamic modeling of ballistic missile in pitch plane is performed and the open-loop transfer function related to the jet deflector angle as input and pitch rate, normal acceleration as output has been derived with certain acceptable assumptions.

Ballistic missile defence: how soon, how significant, and what should Australia's policy be? [PDF]
Summary: The issue of ballistic missile defence (BMD) was a controversial one when US President Reagan first advocated a strategic-level system in the early 1980s. It remains so today. What’s Australia’s interest?

US‐Japan Alliance: Emmeshing Bilateralism Into Broader Multilateralism
ABSTRACT In the 21st Century, geopolitical confrontation between the Eurasian continental powers and the sea powers works to divide Asia. The US‐Japan alliance has transformed itself from Japanʼs asymmetrical security dependence of the Cold War period into a mutual and more integrated partnership today.

Trajectory optimization of a deflectable nose missile
The deflectable nose missile has a longer range by deflecting its nose to improve its aerodynamic feature. Based on detached eddy simulation (DES), the supersonic flow fields of a missile with deflectable nose are simulated numerically and its ...

High‐Velocity Ballistic Impact Performance of FFF Printed PEEK With Different Infill Patterns
This study examines 3D printed PEEK under Izod, quasi‐static, and high‐velocity impact. Hexagonal infill shows the highest Izod impact strength and superior quasi‐static energy absorption. However, under ballistic impact, all patterns behave similarly, indicating performance depends on infill at low velocity, but on intrinsic material properties at ...

Filling a Gap in Materials Mechanics: Nanoindentation at High Constant Strain Rates up to 105 s−1
A piezoelectric nanoindentation platform enables constant strain‐rate testing up to 105 s−1, extending experimental capabilities to extreme deformation regimes. Distinct hardness upturns are revealed across crystalline and amorphous materials, verified as intrinsic responses through quasi‐static reloading.
