Stochastic Dynamics of Domain Wall on a Racetrack: Impact of Line‐Edge Roughness

open access: yesphysica status solidi (RRL) – Rapid Research Letters, Volume 20, Issue 9, September 2026.
Line‐edge roughness is shown to induce stochastic domain‐wall pinning in ferromagnetic racetracks even in the absence of thermal fluctuations. The resulting depinning probability exhibits a robust sigmoidal current dependence, revealing a physical mechanism for probabilistic domain‐wall dynamics and highlighting the important role of fabrication ...

Shining Light on Quantum Materials: Interplay of Symmetry, Quantum Geometry, and Nonlinear Photocurrents

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 9, September 2026.
Nonlinear photocurrents provide broadband spectroscopic access to quantum materials from terahertz to optical frequencies. Their sensitivity to spin, orbital, chiral, topological, and quantum‐geometric properties enables insights across ferroelectrics, magnetic and two‐dimensional materials, moiré heterostructures, topological flat bands, and light ...

Molecular Friction Trumps Viscosity in Angstrofluidic Transport

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 51, 11 September 2026.
Single‐file transport through sub‐1 nm graphene nanopore and carbon nanotube is investigated using molecular dynamics and ergodic trajectory sampling. The study shows that confinement geometry and wall‐fluid interaction strength govern molecular mobility, allowing atomistic motion to be translated into a continuum‐based resistance coefficient for ...

Michigan Geospace Model With Ensemble Forecasting and Particle Filtering: Modeling the May 2024 Extreme Storm

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 24, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract This paper introduces an updated version of the University of Michigan Geospace model. The Geospace model has been used for operational forecasting at the Space Weather Modeling Center of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency since 2016 with regular updates. The current operational version, Geospace V2, was launched in 2021 and is driven
