Effect of Bamboo Charcoal on pH and Hardware in Dailed Well Water

open access: yesJurnal Penelitian Pendidikan IPA, 2023
The problem that is often encountered in clean water is that the quality of the water, both groundwater and river water used by the community, does not meet the requirements of healthy clean water. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of activated charcoal from bamboo on pH and decrease the hardness level of dug well water in the village of ...

A Spatial Clustering Approach of Economic Activities: An Application to the Agribusiness Sector in Brazil's Midwest Region

open access: yesGeographical Analysis, Volume 58, Issue 4, October 2026.
ABSTRACT The spatial distribution of economic activities is central to regional economics. However, empirical tools for comparing industries based on the similarity of their spatial distributions remain limited. Traditional cluster analysis typically ignores geographical distance and connectivity, while spatial methods focus on clustering places rather

Environmental absorption by carbon derived from Bambusa bambos (L.) Voss: Characterization and performance during methylene blue removal

open access: yesAdvances in Bamboo Science
We have prepared a low-cost bamboo charcoal from Bambusa bambos and investigated it as an adsorbent of methylene blue (MB). The bamboo charcoal was analyzed using XRD, FTIR, UV-Vis and FE-SEM techniques.

Dealing With Inbuilt Age: A Bayesian Approach to Radiocarbon Dating of Rice, Bamboo and Charcoal From Non Ban Jak, Thailand

open access: yesArchaeometry, Volume 68, Issue 4, Page 811-817, August 2026.
ABSTRACT New radiocarbon determinations from rice grains and bamboo have been obtained from Non Ban Jak, Northeast Thailand. These, along with charcoal, date a late Iron Age building sequence. The results come from short‐lived species and charcoal with potential inbuilt age. We built a series of Bayesian models to obtain a reliable chronology.

Preparation, characterization and optical properties evaluations of bamboo charcoal

open access: yesCurrent Research in Green and Sustainable Chemistry, 2021
Herein, we report a facile and scalable approach to prepare fluorescent carbon nanostructures prepared from annealing of bamboo stems in argon atmosphere (BC). The resultant nano-structured carbon possesses an optical band gap of 2.8eV when annealed at 500 °C (BC-500). But BC annealed at 600 °C (BC-600) has an optical band gap of 3.3eV.
