A study on Copson operator and its associated sequence space
In this research, we investigate two types of Copson matrices, the generalized Copson matrix and the Copson matrix of order n, and their associated sequence spaces generated by these matrices.

Examples of asymptotically \ell_^1 Banach spaces
Two examples of asymptotic $\ell_{1}$ Banach spaces are given. The first, $X_{u}$, has an unconditional basis and is arbitrarily distortable. The second, $X$, does not contain any unconditional basic sequence. Both are spaces of the type of Tsirelson. We

Dissipative energy functionals of passive linear time‐varying systems
Abstract The concept of dissipativity plays a crucial role in the analysis of control systems. Dissipative energy functionals, also known as Hamiltonians, storage functions, or Lyapunov functions, depending on the setting, are extremely valuable to analyze and control the behavior of dynamical systems, but in general circumstances they are very ...

Attractors and upper semicontinuity for an extensible beam with nonlocal structural damping
Abstract We analyze the asymptotic behavior of a class of extensible beam models governed by a nonlocal structural damping mechanism of the form φ(El)(−Δ)βut$\varphi (E_l)(-\Delta)^{\beta }u_t$, where β∈λ=(0,1]$\beta \in \lambda =(0,1]$. The coefficient φ$\varphi$ is a degenerate C1$C^{1}$‐function depending on the linear energy El$E_l$ of the system ...

Matrix transformations involving certain Banach space valued sequence spaces
In this paper for Banach spaces $X$ and $Y$ we characterize matrix classes $ (\Gamma (X,\lambda)$, $ l_\infty(Y,\mu))$, $ (\Gamma(X,\lambda),C(Y,\mu))$, $ (\Gamma(X,\lambda)$, $ c_0(Y,\mu))$, $ (\Gamma(X,\lambda)$, $ \Gamma^*(Y,\mu))$, $ (l_1(X,\lambda)$, $ \Gamma(Y,\mu))$ and $ (c_0(X,\lambda)$, $ c_0(Y,\mu))$ of bounded linear operators involving $ X$

On the topological ranks of Banach ∗$^*$‐algebras associated with groups of subexponential growth
Abstract Let G$G$ be a group of subexponential growth and C→qG$\mathcal C\overset{q}{\rightarrow }G$ a Fell bundle. We show that any Banach ∗$^*$‐algebra that sits between the associated ℓ1$\ell ^1$‐algebra ℓ1(G|C)$\ell ^1(G\,\vert \,\mathcal C)$ and its C∗$C^*$‐envelope has the same topological stable rank and real rank as ℓ1(G|C)$\ell ^1(G\,\vert ...

Sequences and bases in p-Banach spaces [PDF]
Necessary and sufficient condition are given for an infinite dimensional subspace of a p-Banach space X with basis to contain a basic sequence which can be extended to a basis of X.

Rigidity of anti‐de Sitter (2+1)‐spacetimes with convex boundary near the Fuchsian locus
Abstract We prove that globally hyperbolic compact anti‐de Sitter (2+1)‐spacetimes with a strictly convex spacelike boundary that is either smooth or polyhedral and whose holonomy is close to Fuchsian are determined by the induced metric on the boundary.

Abstract We study the distortion of intermediate dimension under supercritical Sobolev mappings and also under quasiconformal or quasisymmetric homeomorphisms. In particular, we extend to the setting of intermediate dimensions both the Gehring–Väisälä theorem on dilatation‐dependent quasiconformal distortion of dimension and Kovalev's theorem on the ...
