Generalized quasi-Banach sequence spaces and measures of noncompactness

open access: yesAnais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências, 2013
Given 0 < s ≤ 1 and ψ an s-convex function, s – ψ -sequence spaces are introduced. Several quasi-Banach sequence spaces are thus characterized as a particular case of s – ψ -spaces.

Existence of solutions for an infinite system of Hilfer fractional boundary value problems in tempered sequence spaces

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2023
This article aims to study the existence of the solutions to the infinite system of Hilfer fractional differential equations in tempered sequence spaces.

Banach spaces of $\mathcal I$-convergent sequences

open access: yes, 2023
We study the space $c_{0,\mathcal{I}}$ of all bounded sequences $(x_n)$ that $\mathcal{I}$-converge to $0$, endowed with the sup norm, where $\mathcal{I}$ is an ideal of subsets of $\mathbb{N}$. We show that two such spaces, $c_{0,\mathcal{I}}$ and $c_{0,\mathcal{J}}$, are isometric exactly when the ideals $\mathcal{I}$ and $\mathcal{J}$ are isomorphic.

V-Proximal Trustworthy Banach Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2020
In a recent work (2016), the first author proved the fuzzy sum rule for the V-proximal subdifferential under some natural assumptions on an equivalent norm of the Banach spaces.

Existence and Uniqueness of Fixed Point for Cyclic Mappings in Quasi-αb-Metric Spaces

open access: yesInPrime, 2022
The fixed point theory remains the most important and preferred topic studied in mathematical analysis. This study discusses sufficient conditions to prove a unique fixed point in quasi-αb-metric spaces with cyclic mapping. The analysis starts by showing

On spreading $c_0$-sequences in Banach spaces [PDF]

open access: yesStudia Mathematica, 1999
The author introduces the notions of spreading-\((s)\) and spreading-\((u)\). The main results proved: spreading-\((s)\) implies spreading-\((u)\) and some necessary and sufficient conditions for spreading-\((s)\) and spreading-\((u)\).

On some Banach space sequences [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 1982
We introduce the Banach space of vector valued sequences lp, q(E), 1 ≤ p, q ≤ ∞, where E is a Banach space. Then we study the relation between lp, q(E) and the Schur multipliers of lpE, where E is taken to be some lr.

Spaceability in Banach and quasi-Banach sequence spaces

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 2011
Let $X$ be a Banach space. We prove that, for a large class of Banach or quasi-Banach spaces $E$ of $X$-valued sequences, the sets $E-\bigcup _{q\in }\ell_{q}(X)$, where $ $ is any subset of $(0,\infty]$, and $E-c_{0}(X)$ contain closed infinite-dimensional subspaces of $E$ (if non-empty, of course). This result is applied in several particular cases

Separated sequences in nonreflexive Banach spaces [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 2000
Summary: We prove that there is \(c>1\) such that the unit ball of any nonreflexive Banach space contains a \(c\)-separated sequence. The supremum of these constants \(c\) is estimated from below by \(\root 5\of 4\) and from above approximately by \(1.71\).
