Parasite Antigenemia without Microfilaremia in Bancroftian Filariasis

The American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, 1996
The term "endemic normal" in the context of filariasis refers to people who are amicrofilaremic and free of clinical signs or symptoms of filariasis despite regular exposure to the parasite. (2) Distinct patterns of “Medusa head” and “sunflower” formations of the agglutinated masses of microfilariae were noted.
