Electromagnetic crystal (EMXT) waveguide band-stop filter
IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2003An electromagnetic crystal (EMXT) with a bandgap around 35 GHz is used as the top and/or bottom walls of a rectangular waveguide. Because of its bandgap, such an EMXT waveguide is a very effective band-stop filter with the rejection band centered at 35 GHz. More than 70 dB of isolation for the rejection band and less than 2 dB of insertion loss for the

Band-Stop Filters For High-Power Applications
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1965There are several advantages to the use of band-stop filters, rather than band-pass filters, in many systems. This is shown to be particularly true when signals at high-power levels must be transmitted or rejected. A formula has been derived which expresses the external Q of each resonator in a band-stop filter in terms of the element values of the ...

Fully adaptable band‐stop filter using varactor diodes
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2010AbstractIn this article a reconfigurable band‐stop filter able to reconfigure center frequency, bandwidth, and selectivity for fine tuning applications is demonstrated, device topology discussion and implementation details are given, and followed by discussion on simulations and measurements. The reconfigurable filter topology has four poles and a quasi‐

MEMS-based photonic bandgap (PBG) band-stop filter
2004 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37535), 2004A photonic bandgap (PBG) band-stop filter with flat response in a selected frequency band is designed in this paper. Two kinds of equivalent circuits for the proposed structure are derived and its parameters are extracted by using electromagnetic field software ADS.

Plasmonic band-stop filters based on tooth structure
Optics Communications, 2019Abstract In this paper, the plasmonic band-stop filter with unilateral multi-tooth structure and the causes of Fano resonance are studied theoretically and numerically. Fine-tuning of the bandwidth and center wavelength can be achieved by varying the spacing and tooth depth between the tooth cavities.

All-dielectric band stop filter at terahertz frequencies
2017 International Conference on Optical Instruments and Technology: IRMMW-THz Technologies and Applications, 2018We design all-dielectric band stop filters with silicon subwavelength rod and block arrays at terahertz frequencies. Supporting magnetic dipole resonances originated from the Mia resonance, the all-dielectric filters can modulate the working band by simply varying the structural geometry, while eliminating the ohmic loss induced by the traditional ...
