Band alignment and carrier recombination in GaAsSb/GaAs quantum wells

open access: yes, 2006
Using a combination of experimental and theoretical techniques, we investigated the band alignment and the carrier recombination processes occurring in GaAsSb/GaAs structures.

Momentum matching and band-alignment type in van der Waals heterostructures: Interfacial effects and materials screening

open access: yes, 2023
Momentum-matched type II van der Waals heterostructures (vdWHs) have been designed by assembling layered two-dimensional semiconductors (2DSs) with special band-structure combinations - that is, the valence band edge at the Gamma point (the Brillouin ...

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Energy band alignment of SiO2/ZnO interface determined by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy

open access: yes, 2009
Thin SiO2 interlayer is the key to improving the electroluminescence characteristics of light emitting diodes based on ZnO heterojunctions, but little is known of the band offsets of SiO2/ZnO.

Investigation of Energy Band at Atomic-Layer-Deposited ZnO/β-Ga2O3 ( 2¯01 $$ \overline{2}01 $$) Heterojunctions

open access: yesNanoscale Research Letters, 2018
The energy band alignment of ZnO/β-Ga2O3 ( 2¯01 $$ \overline{2}01 $$) heterojunction was characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The ZnO films were grown by using atomic layer deposition at various temperatures.

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Translating XPS Measurement Procedure for Band Alignment into Reliable Ab Initio Calculation Method

open access: yes, 2017
Band alignment between solids is a crucial issue in condensed matter physics and electronic devices. Although the XPS method has been used as a routine method for determination of the band alignment, the theoretical calculations by copying the XPS band ...

Investigation of the Energy Band at the Molybdenum Disulfide and ZrO2 Heterojunctions

open access: yesNanoscale Research Letters, 2018
The energy band alignment at the multilayer-MoS2/ZrO2 interface and the effects of CHF3 plasma treatment on the band offset were explored using x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The valence band offset (VBO) and conduction band offset (CBO) for the MoS2 /

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.
