Probing the band alignment in rectifying SrIrO3/Nb:SrTiO3 heterostructures [PDF]
We have examined the band alignment in SrIrO3/Nb:SrTiO3 (001) heterojunctions at room temperature using three independent techniques: current-voltage and capacitance-voltage measurements and internal photoemission spectroscopy.

First principles modeling of pure black phosphorus devices under pressure
Black phosphorus (BP) has a pressure-dependent bandgap width and shows the potential for applications as a low-dimensional pressure sensor. We built two kinds of pure BP devices with zigzag or armchair conformation, and explored their pressure-dependent ...

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

This work shows that ZnTe/CdSe core/shell quantum dots synthesized by standard literature procedures in actuality have an alloyed CdxZn1-xTe core. We employ X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) at all four K-shell ionization edges (Zn, Te, Cd, Se) and ...

Band offsets at ZnO/SiC heterojunction: Heterointerface in band alignment
Abstract Pulsed laser deposited ZnO layers on 6H-SiC substrates showed the six-fold symmetry, indicating a two-dimensional epitaxial growth mode. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy was employed to study the valence band discontinuity and interface formation in the ZnO/6H-SiC heterojunction.

Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Band alignment of InN/GaAs heterojunction determined by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy
The valence band offset (VBO) of the InN/GaAs heterojunction is directly determined by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to be 0.94 +/- 0.23 eV. The conduction band offset is deduced from the known VBO value to be 1.66 +/- 0.23 eV, and a type-II band ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.
