Loops of Energy Bands for Bloch Waves in Optical Lattices

Studies in Applied Mathematics, 2011
We consider stationary Bloch waves in a Bose–Einstein condensate placed in a periodic potential for varying strengths of inter‐atomic interactions. Bifurcations of the stationary states are known to occur in this context. These bifurcations generate loops in the energy bands of the Bloch waves near the ends and the center of the Brillouin zone.

An L-Band Crossed-Loop (Bimodal) EPR Resonator

Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2000
Our crossed-loop resonator design has been enhanced to increase the filling factor and has been extended from S-band to L-band. High isolation between the two modes results in shorter dead time in pulsed EPR experiments than would occur with a reflection resonator of the same Q.

Homoclinic loop bifurcations on a Möbius band

Nonlinearity, 1999
The author presents 1-homoclinic loop bifurcations on a non-orientable 2-manifold, the Möbius band. The techniques for studying bifurcating dynamics of the 1-homoclinic loop on this manifold are similar to those for a figure-eight loop in the plane. The key element is blow up.

All-Optical Switching in a L Band Loop EDFA

2007 IEEE 15th Signal Processing and Communications Applications, 2007
In this study, it is shown that an L-band optical signal can be ail-optically switched in an L-band loop EDFA using a C band control signal. In an L-band EDFA designed using loop configuration, a significant improvement can be achieved in gain and NF performance.

Multi-band metamaterial-inspired half-loop antenna

2014 International Conference on Multimedia Computing and Systems (ICMCS), 2014
—In this paper, a new way of making a multiband metamaterial inspired antenna is investigated. Magnetic coupling between a half-loop antenna and one SRR (Split Ring Resonators) cell induces multiple resonance frequencies. The fundamental resonance is relative to the SRR resonance frequency.

Compact size dual-band loop array antenna

Proceedings of the International Conference & Workshop on Emerging Trends in Technology, 2011
This paper describes alternate way to generate dual band using loop within loop technique to confine the size of array. Simulated results show that antenna is tuned to 400 MHz with return loss of -13 dB and at 615.5 MHz with return loss of -31.6 dB. Lower band is of 10 MHz and upper one is of 14 MHz Antenna is fed with long feed line so is compatible ...

Employment of Voice Band Modems in Subscriber Loop Qualification

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2007
This letter presents the method useful in subscriber line qualification for asymmetric digital subscriber line service. It is based on the results of the line frequency response measurement in the voice band by V.34 modems. The response is related to the line attenuation at 300 kHz. The measurement results are also presented.

On the design of an offset-PLL modulation loop for the EGSM band

2004 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37512), 2004
Issues associated with the system design of an offset phase locked modulation loop (OPLL) are presented in this paper. The sources of spurs within the loop are all explained in detail. In order to meet the transmission mask stringent requirements for the EGSM band, a criteria for choosing the IF frequency is presented. Additionally, the paper gives the

Multi-loop Control Using Gershgorin and Ostrowski Bands

Proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Informatics in Control, Automation and Robotics, 2014
The goal of this paper is to develop a new method of decentralized control tuning. This method is based on Nyquist-Arrays and independently designs monovariable controllers for each loop of the plant while ensuring the robust stability of the multivariable system.
