Hierarchical Structure and Fabrication of Functionally Graded Biointerfaces in the Mussel Byssus

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The byssus is a fibrous protein‐based holdfast consisting of mechanically distinct interfaces, which mussels use to anchor their soft living tissue to hard seashore surfaces. Here, multiscale methodologies were used to elucidate the compositional and structural features underlying these functionally graded interfaces and how they are fabricated through

New Current-Mode Bandpass Filters Using Three Single-Output ICCIIs

open access: yesActive and Passive Electronic Components, 2007
New current-mode bandpass filters using three single outputs inverting second generation current conveyors (ICCII) are introduced. The first circuit uses two ICCII+ and one ICCII−, and realizes an inverting bandpass response.

Efficient Analysis of Electromagnetic Scattering in Post-Wall Waveguides and Its Application to Optimization of Millimeter Wave Filters

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2020
Functional post-wall waveguides and waveguide based compact passive circuits - namely bandpass filters - that are formed by introducing additional metallic or dielectric posts inside the post-wall waveguide are analyzed.

Super UWB bandpass filter

open access: yesIEICE Electronics Express, 2007
In this paper, a super ultra-wideband (UWB) bandpass filter (BPF) with frequency bandwidth from 3.0GHz to 22.5GHz (-10dB-return loss bandwidth), which is much wider than that of the conventional UWB BPF, was proposed and demonstrated. The filter employed a simple and compact broadside-coupling structure.

Effective-fourth-order resonator based MASH bandpass sigma-delta modulators

open access: yes, 1997
Two novel effective-fourth-order (eighth-order) resonator based MASH (MultistAge noise SHaping) bandpass Σ-Δ modulators are introduced at the behavioural level and subsequently examined by simulations utilising the ALTA SPW environment.

Time‐Resolved Simultaneous Mapping of Thickness and Nanoparticle Concentration in Nanofluid Thin Films via Imaging Ellipsometry and Deep‐UV Reflectance Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study establishes a dual‐channel optical metrology framework integrating phase‐shifting imaging ellipsometry and deep‐UV reflectance imaging. This label‐free approach enables simultaneous, time‐resolved mapping of film thickness and nanoparticle (NP) concentration in dynamic nanofluid thin films.

Dual-band WLAN Antenna Array with Integrated Bandpass Filters for Harmonic Suppression [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This paper presents the design and results of a dual-band antenna array integrated with bandpass filters. The array has a 1×2 configuration. The two bands of the array correspond to the two WLAN bands of 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz. Other than the two main bands,

A step-by-step approach to bandpass/channel filter design

open access: yes, 2021
This paper presents a step-by-step approach to the design of bandpass/channel filters. The paper serves as a reference source to microwave stakeholders with little or no filter design experience.
