Thin Film Stoichiometry and Defects Management for Low Threshold and Air Stable Near‐Infrared Perovskite Laser

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
As defect density in 3D perovskites is controlled by adjusting excess formamidinium iodide concentration, shallow defects acts as a carrier sink for amplified spontaneous emission (ASE). A comprehensive charge carrier dynamic model is presented to understand the critical factor of the reduction of ASE threshold.

Network media streaming offloading algorithm based on QoE in mobile edge network

open access: yesTongxin xuebao
Aiming at the problems of high-latency, high energy consumption, high bandwidth, and poor quality of experience (QoE) caused by emerging network media streaming business in mobile edge computing, a computing offloading algorithm based on QoE feedback ...

Bandwidth selection for nonparametric modal regression [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
In the context of estimating local modes of a conditional density based on kernel density estimators, we show that existing bandwidth selection methods developed for kernel density estimation are unsuitable for mode estimation. We propose two methods to select bandwidths tailored for mode estimation in the regression setting.

The Deepest Blue: Major Advances and Challenges in Deep Blue Emitting Quasi‐2D and Nanocrystalline Perovskite LEDs

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
In this review, the recent development of deep‐blue (≤465 nm) perovskite light‐emitting diodes (PeLEDs) are summarized, using different perovskite nanomaterials, including nanocrystals (NCs), quantum dots (QDs), nanoplatelets (NPLs), quasi‐2D thin film, 3D bulk thin film, as well as lead‐free perovskite nanomaterials.

Strategies for Controlling Emission Anisotropy in Lead Halide Perovskite Emitters for LED Outcoupling Enhancement

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The rise of lead halide perovskite semiconductors has enabled high‐performance LEDs with internal quantum efficiencies approaching 100%. In order to further enhance the external quantum efficiencies limited by light outcoupling effects, in this account, the strategies for reducing energy dissipation through the substrate, waveguide, and evanescent ...

Limits To Certainty in QoS Pricing and Bandwidth [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2001
Advanced services require more reliable bandwidth than currently provided by the Internet Protocol, even with the reliability enhancements provided by TCP. More reliable bandwidth will be provided through QoS (quality of service), as currently discussed widely. Yet QoS has some implications beyond providing ubiquitous access to advance Internet service,

State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.
