On the robustness of the average power ratios in damping estimation: application in the structural health monitoring of composites beams [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In composites structures, cracking, delamination will cause changes in the measured dynamic response of structure and so on experimentally modal parameters.

Microstructure, Thermal Transport, and Dry‐Sliding Tribology of Powder‐Metallurgy Al7075 Composites Reinforced With Sol–Gel‐Derived ZnO–rGO Hybrid Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...

Signal Bandwidth Estimation for Jamming Detection: Skip Connection and LARS Augmented Mask R-CNN

open access: yesIEEE Access
Accurate bandwidth estimation is crucial for achieving effective jamming localization and suppression in the domain of jamming detection. Traditional methods exhibit low accuracy and a limited bandwidth range when confronted with conditions characterized

Boundary Kernels for Distribution Function Estimation

open access: yesRevstat Statistical Journal, 2013
Boundary effects for kernel estimators of curves with compact supports are well known in regression and density estimation frameworks. In this paper we address the use of boundary kernels for distribution function estimation.

A minimum discriminable bandwidth test for critical bandwidth estimation [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1988
A test procedure has been developed through the use of a modified method of limits technique for the direct measurement of critical bandwidth. A tonal complex with an initially subcritical bandwidth is presented to a listener. The test signal then discretely widens in bandwidth with time; each bandwidth has a duration of approximately 800 ms.

Bandwidth estimation in wireless mobile ad hoc networks

open access: yes, 2015
In recent years a great interest has been noticed in wireless mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) and multimedia technologies. However, MANETs face a lot of technical changes which make it almost impossible to merge the two technologies.

Solution‐Processed Two‐Dimensional Indium Oxide on Sodium‐Embedded Alumina for Reconfigurable Optoelectronic Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Wafer‐scale two‐dimensioanl In2Se3 oxidized into InOx on sodium‐embedded beta‐alumina enables multifunctional reconfigurable electronics. Sodium ions accumulate within distinct spatial distribution under drain‐controlle and gate‐controlled operation. Drain‐control operation gives controllability of ultraviolet‐driven optoelectronic synaptic conductance
