Bandwidth enhancement of transformation optics-based cloak with reduced parameters

Applied Physics A, 2015
In this paper, dispersive cloak design with broad bandwidth and minimal scattering cross section is proposed by appropriately selecting a radial permeability for each shell in a discretized reduced cloak. The dispersive medium is constructed by artificially varying the inner radius of the cloak with frequency, and this variation results into unique ...

Usage Parameter Control and Bandwidth Allocation Methods for Atm-Based B-Isdn

4th IEEE ComSoc International Workshop on Multimedia Communications. MULTIMEDIA, 1992
This paper proposes a ATM traffic management scheme that utilizes a deterministic source traffic descriptor, a deterministic Usage Parameter Control (UPC) algorithm and a conservative statistical bandwidth allocation method. The scheme not only guarantees the QOS of all connections but also allows for large statistical multiplexing gain.

Noise, gain, and bandwidth characteristics of the variable parameter amplifier

1957 International Electron Devices Meeting, 1957
An investigation has been made determining the noise, gain, and bandwidth characteristics of the general variable parameter system (i.e., a system similar to the type proposed by Landon and Suhl for amplification, conversion, and oscillation using ferrites). The basic circuit and its operation are illustrated in the following description.

Amplitude and Bandwidth of the Frontalis Surface EMG: Effects of Electrode Parameters

Psychophysiology, 1984
ABSTRACTIn the present investigation, the frontalis surface EMG was differentially recorded during static voluntary submaximal contractions. First, mean rectified EMG (MREMG) and EMG signal bandwidth were examined for two different bilateral EMG derivations (superior and inferior) with the electrodes placed in horizontal direction and two unilateral ...

Wideband multilayer microstrip antenna: Optimization of dielectric parameters on antenna bandwidth

2011 SBMO/IEEE MTT-S International Microwave and Optoelectronics Conference (IMOC 2011), 2011
The present paper described a method of analysis that can be applied to these geometries, as well as related configurations. The paper presents a model of the antenna on which the simulation was conducted on the impact parameter on bandwidth. The influence of the changes of the value of these parameters of individual layers on the bandwidth was talked ...

Evaluation of comb bandwidth parameters for frequency-shifted feedback semiconductor lasers

Advanced Semiconductor Lasers and Their Applications, 1999
The behaviour of lasers subject to frequency shifted optical feedback is of interest in meeting technological requirements for high brightness broadband laser sources and also in fundamental science eg laser cooling of atoms [1-3].

FDTD Analysis of Microwave Circuits Including Scattering Parameters with Limited Bandwidth

2005 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference Proceedings, 2006
A modeling method for FDTD analysis of microwave circuits including scattering parameters with limited bandwidth is proposed. It is applied to analyze a typical amplifier at 6GHz to demonstrate its validness and efficiency.

Wide bandwidth nonlinear 2-DOF energy harvester: Modeling and parameters selection

2017 IEEE International Conference on Multisensor Fusion and Integration for Intelligent Systems (MFI), 2017
Harvesting energy from mechanical vibrations to provide power in remote areas where there is no lines of electricity has attracted a great research interest. Linear vibration energy harvesters (VEH) are not able to scavenge energy over broadband of frequencies.

Sensitivity of bandwidth allocation algorithms for unidirectional networks to voice parameters

IEEE International Conference on Communications, Including Supercomm Technical Sessions, 1990
A comparative performance evaluation of a dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm is made using different voice traffic models. It is shown that the voice clipping rate performance is very sensitive to characteristics of the speech arrival process and higher than previously reported.

Time-domain techniques for the measurement of narrow-bandwidth antenna parameters

1988 IEEE AP-S. International Symposium, Antennas and Propagation, 2003
Time-domain measurements are shown to be feasible even within narrow-bandwidth antennas and can be used to separate the properties of resonant slots from the effects of the edges of the ground plane around them. A time-domain test range that alloys radiation patterns to be measured as if in an infinite ground plane is highlighted.
