Membrane composition and thermodynamic identity as boundaries of life for synthetic cell research
What makes a cell a cell? The boundary of a living cell is not just a wall. Read as a Markov blanket, the membrane separates internal from external states, generating identity and non‐equilibrium order. Can this identity be rebuilt from scratch in a synthetic cell?

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Reduction of metal intensity of structures due to increased strength of bars
Gradient metal materials with a nanostructured surface layer have a great potential for industrial applications due to their outstanding properties. The article studies the influence of a new combined deformation technology on the change in properties ...

An asymptotic model for the hydrodynamics of the thermal bar [PDF]
An asymptotic solution is found for the temperature and circulation structure for an unsteady two-dimensional model of the thermal bar phenomenon. The non-rotating case considered here is relevant to laboratory models of the thermal bar.

Syriac-Arabic Glosses of Isho bar Ali. Volume 1
These two volumes constitute the second part (nun-taw) of the Syriac-Arabic dictionary of the 10th cent. physician Isho bar Ali (the first half of the dictionary had been published in 1874 by G. Hoffmann).

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

A numerical model of the hydrodynamics of the thermal bar [PDF]
The thermal bar phenomenon is modelled numerically by the natural convection of a fluid contained in a two-dimensional triangular domain. The non-rotating case considered here is appropriate to laboratory models of the thermal bar.

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.
