DNA nanostructure‐encoded fluorescent barcodes

open access: yesAggregate, 2020
Identification and differentiation of various bioanalytes with high spatial and temporal resolution have spawned fluorescent barcode‐based detection and imaging. DNA nanostructures with excellent structure programmability, addressability, and near‐atomic

Coixenolide Enhances Antitumor Immunity of Cytotoxic CD8+ T Cells by Inhibiting S100A8/A9‐CD36 Axis in Obesity‐Associated Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD) remains highly lethal with limited treatment options. This study demonstrates that coixenolide, a bioactive compound from Coix lacryma‐jobi L. and a key component of the clinically approved Kanglaite injection, exhibits enhanced antitumor efficacy in high‐fat diet (HFD)‐induced obese mice bearing PAAD tumors compared to

Copper‐Driven Epithelial Barrier Disruption: A Novel Mechanism of COPD Acute Exacerbations Mediated by the TNF‐α/ATP7A Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals a copper‐driven mechanism of COPD acute exacerbations mediated by the TNF‐α/ATP7A axis. TNF‐α suppresses the copper transporter ATP7A via competitive NF‐κB/CREB1/CBP signaling, resulting in intracellular copper accumulation, mitochondrial oxidative stress, and epithelial barrier disruption.

Annular Barcodes

open access: yes, 2015
In this publication1 we present a generic design for a novel annular barcode. On round media, circular or annular barcodes are more natural and preferable instead of traditional rectangular barcodes.

Innate Immunocompetent hiPSC‐Derived Neurospheroids Capture Early CNS Responses to rAAV

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Knowledge of human CNS immune responses to AAV‐based gene therapies remains limited due to the lack of immune‐competent human models. Here, a hiPSC‐derived 3D neuroimmune platform integrating neurospheroids and microglia is established using stirred‐tank bioreactors.

Single‐Cell Dissection of Therapy‐Induced Remodeling Uncovers a Fibroblast‐Driven Immunosuppressive Niche and Targetable Vulnerabilities in Lethal Prostate Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell longitudinal profiling reveals that androgen‐deprivation therapy induces a DPT+ fibroblast‐complement axis that suppresses macrophage inflammation and drives CD8+ T cell exhaustion in prostate cancer. Concurrently, resistant epithelial subpopulations persist and engage TSPAN1‐ and NRXN1‐mediated programs promoting CRPC and neuroendocrine ...

The efficacy and further functional advantages of random-base molecular barcodes for absolute and digital quantification of nucleic acid molecules

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Accurate quantification of biomolecules in system-wide measurements is in high demand, especially for systems with limited sample amounts such as single cells. Because of this, digital quantification of nucleic acid molecules using molecular barcodes has

Single molecule counting and assessment of random molecular tagging errors with transposable giga-scale error-correcting barcodes

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2017
Background RNA-Seq measures gene expression by counting sequence reads belonging to unique cDNA fragments. Molecular barcodes commonly in the form of random nucleotides were recently introduced to improve gene expression measures by detecting ...
