Fabrication and characterization of Barium Titanate nanofibers

10th IEEE International Conference on Nano/Micro Engineered and Molecular Systems, 2015
In this paper, a rotational disk based electrospinning method for making Barium Titanate (BTO) nanofibers was presented. A silicon wafer coated with a 50 nm MgO barrier layer was attached to a motor mounted disk. BTO nanofibers were collected on the spinning silicon wafer. By using this method, partially aligned BTO nanofibers were obtained.

Semiconducting barium titanate

Journal of Materials Science, 1971
Barium titanate, which is well known as a basic ferroelectric material, is also of interest when doped because of the interaction between semiconductivity and ferroelectricity. The resistance of blocking layers at surfaces and grain-boundaries is governed mainly by the ferroelectric properties, so that a resistance jump of four decades is observed on ...

Lattice dynamics of pure barium titanate and barium strontium titanate solid solutions

Journal of Physics C: Solid State Physics, 1984
The lattice dynamics of cubic BaTiO3 and Ba0.8Sr0.2TiO3 has been extensively investigated by inelastic neutron scattering using various triple-axis spectrometers. Measurements were carried out to obtain dispersion curves in the Gamma M, Gamma R and Gamma X directions of the Brillouin zone. A rigid-shell model has been developed for the pure BaTiO3, and

Femtosecond temporal encoding in barium titanate

Optics Letters, 1991
We describe two-beam coupling and temporal encoding experiments in barium titanate. Volume gratings are created in the photorefractive material by 50-fs optical pulses. Information in the writing pulses may be encoded as spatially distributed volume gratings in the crystal. Femtosecond temporal waveform reconstruction is demonstrated.

Photosensitive barium titanate Schottky diodes

IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 1968
The observation of photocurrents generated in Schottky barrier diodes on Remeika-grown reduced barium titanate is reported. Photon-to-electron conversion efficiencies of 5% at 0.3 μm have been measured which suggests that the effect may be large enough for employment in practical devices.
