Sputtered barium titanate and barium strontium titanate films for capacitor applications
ISAF 2000. Proceedings of the 2000 12th IEEE International Symposium on Applications of Ferroelectrics (IEEE Cat. No.00CH37076), 2002Thin barium titanate and barium strontium titanate films are being developed as dielectric film for use in dc-dc converters. Thin BaTiO/sub 3/ (BT) and (BaSr)TiO/sub 3/ (BST) film capacitor devices were fabricated using RF magnetron sputtering techniques. The typical dielectric constant of these film capacitors was in the range of 300 to 690.

The Lorentz Correction in Barium Titanate
Physical Review, 1950It is assumed, following Devonshire, that the ferroelectric behavior of BaTi${\mathrm{O}}_{3}$ arises because of the Lorentz correction, leading to a vanishing term in the denominator of the expression for dielectric constant. If the polarizability varies slowly with temperature, the temperature variation of dielectric constant follows.

The Crystal Structure of Hexagonal Barium Titanate
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1948The crystal structure of hexagonal barium titanate has been determined by X-ray methods. The unit cell, which contains six units of BaTiO3, has a0 = 5.735 A. and c0 = 14.05 A. In the space group C63/mmc all the ions occur at special positions: 2 Ba at (b), 4 Ba at (f), 2 Ti at (a), 4 Ti at (f), 6 O at (h), and 12 O at (k).

Photoinduced absorption in photorefractive barium titanate
Optics Letters, 1989The photorefractive properties of barium titanate are influenced by the presence of secondary photorefractive centers. The consequence is an intensity-dependent photorefractive effort due to changes in the effective empty trap concentration. Information about these centers can be obtained by studying the photo-induced absorption.
