The Minor Iridoid Glucosides of Barleria lupulina : Isolation, Crystal Structure and Plant Growth-Inhibiting Properties of 6-O-Acetylshanzhiside Methyl Ester

Australian Journal of Chemistry, 1987
The minor iridoid glucosides present in the aerial parts of Barleria lupulina Lindl. ( Acanthaceae ) have been identified as ipolamiidoside (7) and the new compound 6-O-acetylshanzhiside methyl ester (3). The structure of (3) was determined by spectroscopic and chemical methods, and was confirmed by a single-crystal X-ray structure determination ...

Preparation, characterisation, anticancer potential and safety evaluation of a soy lecithin phytosome delivery system loaded with constituents from Barleria lupulina

Journal of Microencapsulation
In this study, antineoplastic effects of a novel soy lecithin-based phytosome drug delivery system containing Barleria lupulina Lindl. extract (BLSP) was evaluated. BLSP was prepared using the thin-film hydration method and analysed using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and Zetasizer technique ...
