Drought Tolerance of European Barley (Hordeum Vulgare L.) Varieties
Drought is one of the major abiotic stresses that frequently causes severe loss in crop yield worldwide. Laboratory predictors of field drought tolerance could significantly increase the effectiveness of existing plant breeding programs. In earlier field

Structural changes in barley protein LTP1 isoforms at air-water interfaces [PDF]
We use a coarse-grained model to study the conformational changes in two barley proteins, LTP1 and its ligand adduct isoform LTP1b, that result from their adsorption to the air-water interface. The model introduces the interface through hydropathy indices. We justify the model by all-atom simulations.

Total phenolic contents and antioxidant activity profile of selected cereal sprouts and grasses
Quantitative profiling of total phenolic content (TPC) and antioxidant activity (AOA) in seeds, sprouts, and grasses of corn (Zea mays L.), wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), and barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) were performed. TPC and AOA were strongly correlated

Prospects for Gene lntrogression from Hordeum bulbosum L. into Barley (H. vulgare L.). [PDF]
Hybridizations between Hordeum vulgare L. (cultivated barley) and H. bulbosum L. have been performed over many years with two aims. First, the production of doubled haploid barley cultivars (Kasha and Kao 1970); second, the transfer of desirable traits ...
