The palaeoceanography of the Leeuwin Current : implications for a future world [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Long-term progressive changes of the Leeuwin Current are linked to plate and ocean basin ‘geography’ and Cenozoic global climates and palaeoceanography.

Christian Nationalism and the Vote for Donald Trump in the 2024 Presidential Election: A State‐Level Analysis

open access: yesNations and Nationalism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Within the US electoral system, where states are conceived of and vote as discrete entities, state‐level characteristics are vital to consider because they reflect sociocultural context influencing voter behaviour. Though numerous studies have documented the connection between Christian nationalist ideology and voting for Donald Trump in 2016,

Kinematic properties of the dual AGN system J0038+4128 based on long-slit spectroscopy

open access: yes, 2015
The study of kiloparsec-scale dual active galactic nuclei (AGN) will provide important clues to understand the co-evolution between the host galaxies and their central supermassive black holes undergoing a merging process.

Resilience of floral scent emission after florivory

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
Florivory is thought to affect floral traits, impacting pollination. However, our data suggest a stability in post‐florivory scent emission, which may guarantee the maintenance of pollinator visitation regardless of florivory, indicating a resilience of natural systems with multiple and simultaneous interactions. Wetland plant growth in recycled glass sand versus dredged river sand: evaluating a new resource for coastal restoration

open access: yesRestoration Ecology, EarlyView.
Sand made from recycled glass cullet could supplement limited dredged river sand (dredge) in coastal wetland restorations; however, its suitability for wetland plants is unknown. In two experiments, we compared the biomass of several wetland plants in recycled glass sand to growth in dredge.

Hubble Space Telescope Wide Field Camera 3 Identifies an $r_p$ = 1 Kpc Dual Active Galactic Nucleus in the Minor Galaxy Merger SDSS J0924+0510 at z = 0.1495

open access: yes, 2018
Kiloparsec-scale dual active galactic nuclei (AGNs) are active supermassive black hole pairs co-rotating in galaxies with separations of less than a few kpc.

‘There Has Been a Scandal’: Cultural Performers and the Strangers’ Churches of London

open access: yesRenaissance Studies, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite what one might assume to have been a rigid line between London's refugee community—with its strict brand of Protestantism—and the city's performance cultures—often the target of strict Protestants' ire—historical records reveal a number of overlaps between those domains.
