Baryon operators and baryon spectroscopy [PDF]
The issues involved in a determination of the baryon resonance spectrum in lattice QCD are discussed. The variational method is introduced and the need to construct a sufficient basis of interpolating operators is emphasised. The construction of baryon operators using group-theory techniques is outlined.

Soft-core baryon-baryon potentials for the complete baryon octet [PDF]
SU(3) symmetry relations on the recently constructed hyperon-nucleon potentials are used to develop potential models for all possible baryon-baryon interaction channels. The main focus is on the interaction channels with total strangeness S=-2, -3, and -4, for which no experimental data exist yet. The potential models for these channels are based on SU(

Baryon-baryon potentials on the lattice [PDF]
The interaction of spatially extended heavy baryons is investigated in the framework of lattice QCD with dynamical quarks. It is shown that the expected dipole forces have a very short range and that the baryon-antibaryon interaction is more attractive than the baryon-baryon interaction. Sea quarks play a minor important role.

Baryon–anti-Baryon photoproduction [PDF]
Baryon - anti-baryon photoproduction off a proton target is being studied in detail at Jefferson Lab with the GlueX Experiment. We observe $p\bar{p}$ and, for the first time, $ \bar $ photoproduction (with $ \rightarrow ^- p$, $\bar \rightarrow ^+ \bar{p}$) from thresholds up to $E_ = 11.4$ GeV.

Hardware-in-the-loop testing of control of a precooled desiccant air-cooling system
Increasing the energy efficiency of cooling in buildings is an important component of the management of global energy consumption. A super-efficient cooling system based on the evaporation concept has been developed, and initial simulation results using ...

We review the experimental and theoretical status of baryons containing one heavy quark. The charm and bottom baryon states are classified and their mass spectra are listed. The appropriate theoretical framework for the description of heavy baryons is the Heavy Quark Effective Theory, whose general ideas and methods are introduced and illustrated in ...

In this talk I show recent results on how many excited baryon resonances appear as systems of one meson and one baryon, or two mesons and one baryon, with the mesons being either pseudoscalar or vectors. Connection with experiment is made including a discussion on old predictions and recent results for the photoproduction of the $ (1405)$ resonance ...

In this study, the control of a desiccant-wheel-based evaporative cooling system with a double-layer dew-point cooler system is emphasized. There are two dew-point evaporative coolers in the system and the air taken inside is subjected to pre- and post ...
