Baryon-Baryon Potentials on the Lattice [PDF]
Phys.Lett. B318 (1993) 507-510, 1993The interaction of spatially extended heavy baryons is investigated in the framework of lattice QCD with dynamical quarks. It is shown that the expected dipole forces have a very short range and that the baryon-antibaryon interaction is more attractive than the baryon-baryon interaction. Sea quarks play a minor important role.

Meson-meson correlations in baryon-baryon and antibaryon-baryon interactions [PDF]
Prog.Part.Nucl.Phys.36:311-320,1996, 1995Recent work of the J\"ulich group about the role of meson-meson correlations in baryon-baryon and antibaryon-baryon interactions is reviewed.

Lattice QCD and Baryon-Baryon Interactions: HAL QCD Method [PDF]
Frontiers in Physics, 2020In this article, we review the HAL QCD method to investigate baryon-baryon interactions, such as nuclear forces in lattice QCD. We first explain our strategy in detail to investigate baryon-baryon interactions by defining potentials in field theories ...

Baryon–anti-Baryon photoproduction [PDF]
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2020Baryon - anti-baryon photoproduction off a proton target is being studied in detail at Jefferson Lab with the GlueX Experiment. We observe $p\bar{p}$ and, for the first time, $ \bar $ photoproduction (with $ \rightarrow ^- p$, $\bar \rightarrow ^+ \bar{p}$) from thresholds up to $E_ = 11.4$ GeV.

CP Violation in Baryon Decays at LHCb
Symmetry, 2023Observations in astronomy suggest that our Universe contains an abundance of matter over antimatter, which can only be explained if the combined CP symmetry is violated.

The Cosmic Baryon and Metal Cycles [PDF]
Annual Review of Astronomy and Astrophysics, 2020Characterizing the relationship between stars, gas, and metals in galaxies is a critical component of understanding the cosmic baryon cycle. We compile contemporary censuses of the baryons in collapsed structures and their chemical makeup and dust ...

Hardware-in-the-loop testing of control of a precooled desiccant air-cooling system
Frontiers in Mechanical Engineering, 2023Increasing the energy efficiency of cooling in buildings is an important component of the management of global energy consumption. A super-efficient cooling system based on the evaporation concept has been developed, and initial simulation results using ...

Baryon operators and baryon spectroscopy [PDF]
Nuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 2006The issues involved in a determination of the baryon resonance spectrum in lattice QCD are discussed. The variational method is introduced and the need to construct a sufficient basis of interpolating operators is emphasised. The construction of baryon operators using group-theory techniques is outlined.

Skewness, kurtosis, and the fifth and sixth order cumulants of net baryon-number distributions from lattice QCD confront high-statistics STAR data [PDF]
Physical Review D, 2020We present new results on up to sixth-order cumulants of net baryon-number fluctuations at small values of the baryon chemical potential, I¼B, obtained in lattice QCD calculations with physical values of light and strange quark masses.
