Meson-baryon coupling constants and baryon-baryon interactions
Nuclear Physics A, 1998Abstract We present a chiral-invariant SU( 3 ) Lagrangian describing the interactions of the baryon octet with the lowest-mass meson nonets. Empirical estimates for the strengths of these vertices are given. The nonlinear realization of the chiral symmetry generates pair-meson interaction vertices, the coupling constants for which contain no new free

Recent soft-core baryon–baryon interactions
Nuclear Physics A, 2005Recent results obtained with the extended-soft-core (ESC) interactions are presented. In a unified manner the ESC-model, describes nucleon-nucleon (NN), hyperon-nucleon (YN), and hyperon-hyperon (YY), using (broken) SU F (3)-symmetry. In the ESC approach to baryon-baryon (BB) the dynamics is derived from (i) one-boson-exchanges (OBE), (ii) two-meson ...

Nuclear Physics A, 2005
A personal view upon the future of baryon studies is presented, with an emphasis on the quark–pion dynamics, in relation with new hadron spectroscopy triggered by arrival of pentaquarks, as well as at the baryon structure as revealed in proton scattering/production processes in hadron and heavy ion collisions.

Meson-Baryon and Baryon-Baryon Reactions in a Quark Model
Physical Review, 1966An "independent-quark model" for mesons and baryons which recently was applied very successfully to elastic scattering at high energies, is extended to inelastic meson-baryon and baryon-baryon reactions. A number of relations between cross sections are derived, most of which are independent of $\mathrm{SU}(3)$.

Baryon-Baryon Interactions and the Eightfold Way*
Physical Review, 1963The deuteron is shown to belong to a ten-dimensional irreducible representation of the group $\mathrm{SU}(3)$ in the symmetry scheme called the eightfold way. The baryon-baryon states, which together with the deuteron comprise this supermultiplet, are studied.

2016
In this lecture, different milestones in the cosmological history of baryons are reviewed. First, the appearance of hadrons as a consequence of the confinement of quarks is discussed. Then the era in which nuclei interact to produce light elements like deuterium, helium and lithium is described.

Construction of baryon-baryon clusters on the lattice
AIP Conference Proceedings, 1995We calculate static hadron‐hadron potentials within lattice QCD. We analyze the influence of the valence quark distribution on the shape of the potentials. The content of pointlike singlet clusters is determined.

High-Spin Baryons. I. The Pion-Baryon-Baryon Vertex
Physical Review, 1966A simple analysis is given for the coupling of a pion to baryons of arbitrary spins and parities. The structure of the vertex depends on a new quantum number called $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ parity. Recursion formulas are given relating high-spin vertices to lower spin vertices.

Virtual particles and the baryon-baryon system
Il Nuovo Cimento, 1964The1S0 virtual bound state of the nucleon-nucleon system is shown to belong to the 27-dimensional representation of the symmetry scheme based onSU(3) known as the eight-fold way. The other states of this multiplet are derived. Experimental evidence bearing on this state is discussed and it is suggested that if the many complications of baryon number-2 ...
