A method to investigate muscle target‐specific transcriptional signatures of single motor neurons
Abstract Background Motor neurons in the vertebrate spinal cord have long served as a paradigm to study the transcriptional logic of cell type specification and differentiation. At limb levels, pool‐specific transcriptional signatures first restrict innervation to only one particular muscle in the periphery, and get refined, once muscle connection has ...

The prevalence of neurologically asymptomatic CSVD is common in the nondiabetic population. Glycated hemoglobin A1c correlated with periventricular white matter hyperintensities. Fasting blood glucose was associated with deep cerebral microbleeds. Better control of blood glucose may have a beneficial effect on reducing the risk of CSVD.

Structure and evolution of neuronal wiring receptors and ligands
Abstract One of the fundamental properties of a neuronal circuit is the map of its connections. The cellular and developmental processes that allow for the growth of axons and dendrites, selection of synaptic targets, and formation of functional synapses use neuronal surface receptors and their interactions with other surface receptors, secreted ...

Wiring the senses: Factors that regulate peripheral axon pathfinding in sensory systems
Abstract Sensory neurons of the head are the ones that transmit the information about the external world to our brain for its processing. Axons from cranial sensory neurons sense different chemoattractant and chemorepulsive molecules during the journey and in the target tissue to establish the precise innervation with brain neurons and/or receptor ...
