Optimal Decision Making Model of Battery Energy Storage-Assisted Electric Vehicle Charging Station Considering Incentive Demand Response [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Considering large scale implementation of electric vehicles (EVs), public EV charging stations are served as fuel tanks for EVs to meet the need of longer travelling distance and overcome the shortage of private charging piles. The allocation of local battery energy storage (BES) can enhance the flexibility of the EV charging station.

Dual‐Mode Film Based on Highly Scattering Nanofibers and Upcycled Chips‐Bags for Year‐Round Thermal Management

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intelligent radiative cooling devices, adaptable to various weather conditions, have the potential for year‐round energy savings. This study introduces a sustainable dual‐mode film made from polycaprolactone nanofibers and upcycled chip bags for effective thermal management.

Band-Notched Dual-Polarized Antennas for 2G/3G/4G/5G Base Station Using the GCPW DGS-DMS Hybrid Filter

open access: yesIEEE Access
Two broadband dual-polarized band-notched crossed dipole antennas based on the grounded coplanar waveguide (GCPW) filter for 2G/3G/4G/5G base station are proposed in this paper. Two antennas with two and three radiation nulls are displayed to demonstrate

On base station localization for state estimation over lossy networks [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2008
We consider a state estimation problem where observations are made by multiple sensors. These observations are communicated over a lossy wireless network to a central base station that computes estimates via a Kalman filter. The goal is to determine the optimal location of the base station under a certain class of packet loss probability models.

Cu‐Based MOF/TiO2 Composite Nanomaterials for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Generation and the Role of Copper

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
HKUST‐1/TiO2 composite materials show a very high photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate which increases as a function of the irradiation time until reaching a plateau and even surpasses the performance of the 1%Pt/TiO2 material after three photocatalytic cycles.

Green Base Station Placement for Microwave Backhaul Links [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
Wireless mobile backhaul networks have been proposed as a substitute in cases in which wired alternatives are not available due to economical or geographical reasons. In this work, we study the location problem of base stations in a given region where mobile terminals are distributed according to a certain probability density function and the base ...
