Anamorphs in the Strophariaceae (Basidiomycota, Agaricales)
Botany, 2008We describe and illustrate conidiogenesis in 21 species of Strophariaceae sensu Singer in culture, including first reports of conidiogenesis from nine species. Two modes of thallic conidiogenesis were revealed. The first mode, present in Hypholoma capnoides (Fr.) P. Kumm., Hypholoma fasciculare (Fr.) P. Kumm., Hypholoma marginatum (Pers.) J.

The Peniophorella praetermissa species complex (Basidiomycota)
Mycological Research, 2007The corticioid basidiomycete Peniophorella praetermissa has long been regarded as a morphologically variable species complex. An ITS-based phylogenetic study based on a worldwide sampling was carried out using parsimony and Bayesian inference. The resulting trees feature three major clades, further divided into well-supported subclades.

Wrightoporia (Basidiomycota, Aphyllophorales) in China
Nova Hedwigia, 2006A new species, Wrightoporia luteola (Basidiomycota, Aphyllophorales), collected from northern, central and eastern China, is described and illustrated. It is characterized by an annual growth habit, resupinate and soft corky basidiocarps, buff-yellow pore surface, small pores (5-8 per mm), inflated skeletal hyphae in subiculum, and by small echinulate ...

Hymenochaetaceae (Basidiomycota) in China
Fungal Diversity, 2010An account of the Chinese species of Hymenochaetaceae based on most recent phylogenetic analysis is presented. One hundred and seventy species from 23 genera are recognized; descriptions are provided based on the Chinese collections. Keys to genera and species are given. Phellinopsis gen. nov. is introduced. Coltricia abieticola sp.

Information about distribution of three species of gasteromycetes listed in the Red Data Book of Ukraine, Clathrus ruber P.Micheli ex Pers., Mutinus ravenelii (Berk. & M.A.Curtis) E.Fisch., and Pseudocolus fusiformis (E.Fisch.) Lloyd (Phallales, Basidiomycota), is given. Undoubtedly, these fungi are alien species in Ukraine.

Peculiarities of the growth of a dark pigmented yeast-like fungus, Pseudonadsoniella brunnea, on 32 nutrient media (11 solid, 3 semisolid and 18 liquid ones) are characterized. The most optimal media for this fungus found to be Saburo agar, Saburo agar with 10 % sucrose solution, original medium with rolled oats, bran and 10 % sucrose solution, pieces ...

Mycoparasitism in Basidiomycota
Among the over 31,000 recognized species within Basidiomycota, approximately 200 are documented as parasites of other fungi, so-called mycoparasites. They exhibit a remarkable diversity in morphological characteristics, host-parasite interaction structures, and phylogenetic affiliations.Nathan Schoutteten +2 more
